Nice game! The sound effects were really satisfying, especially when you get a big match. My high score was 14k

While i find it enjoyable, theres a lot of work that can be done here

first things first you should def tweak a numbers of things here,

  • make the timer much slower so people can properly think of what to press,
  • make it more penalizing to pick the wrong one to compensate (the amount of times i saved myself by just spam clicking  wrong ingredients is unreal)
  • also add an auto detection system that detects if theres too little of a certain plant so you can force game to switch to a different ingredient
  • Add some sort of subtle color coding because the shape and art alone isnt enough to properly distinguish these ingredients
  • make clicking hitbox just about big enough cuz i somtimes fail to click them for some weird reason
  • add combo sounds that basically get higher and pitch or smth, similar to mario's score to one up sounds (we need to rile up some dopamine cuz i was just numbed myself the whole playthru)

As of right now the game is great despite too heavily rng based, at least you have some loose numbers to help compensate for the rng but you should def work on smth that can control the rng so you can make the proper numbers for the game to really have some skill value

Pleasant little game, the art is impressive, the goal wasnt really clear but i managed to stay alive a while just by clicking big chains, weird conclusion but cute game !

At first, I kept dying, and it took me a while to finally grasp the idea. After that, I enjoyed the game a lot! It's a simple idea, but its implementation is great and well-polished. It would be nice to have greater contrast between the ingredients, though, some of them look too similar. My high score was 1535.

  • Things I liked:
    • Game has a fun concept and uses the theme really well.
    • Gameplay is really smooth and exciting.  It feels really good to click on a large group of plants when health is low.
    • Visual and sound effects are very well done.  The heartbeat adds a lot of tension.
  • Things that can be better:
    • Can't use health to buy/unlock anything.  Health is effectively just a countdown :( .
    • The colors are too dark.  It's hard to see what the plants are
  • Bugs/Balancing
    • The difficulty (seemingly) does not reset after dying and retrying.  The health seems to go down faster when I retry the game
    • There are balance issues with clicking the plants.  I got a score of about 15k by just clicking randomly

  • For the prerequisite i pretty much decided to implement it as: selecting ingredients cost a life to get,  and its costs more life if ur not selecting the correct ingredient... could have been implemented better, but i ran out of time :3
  • For the difficulty i seem to have forgotten to reset it, ty for bringing it up
  • Ill try to add penalties for spamming or picking wrong ingredients one after the other

One detail I noticed, and as an artist I would reccomend to change is the color, everything uses the same colors and it's so dark it's difficult to read the intro and it's difficult to differ graphics, monochromatic is good but you can change a little bit more tones to show the different things on screen.
