As someone who has only dabbled into 10 finger writing by using educational software like TIPP10, i can only wonder how cool it would be if such software was more game-like. I think the concept is really cool. I did not win first try, but it got me motivated to learn typing well again!
Hadn't heard of TIPP10 - that's really interesting, would love to improve my typing!
Thanks for playing :)
I really liked this! first game i finished till completion. Love the style, sounds, graphics. "i" and "l" where a bit difficult to differentiate.
the only possible thing i would do is make "space" mandatory, as it was awkward without it.
Thanks for playing! I'd originally left spaces out as I wasn't sure how to communicate to the player that they had or hadn't entered the space, but on rethinking it I've realised that that's what a cursor is for - should probably have occurred to me sooner lol
Glad you enjoyed the game!
nice work. good luck.
I thought this was really damn good. I'm not super versed in typing-based games, but I definitely had a lot of fun switching between Attack and Story modes. I also like demon things named Jeff. Since I'm a stickler for proper typing, I caught onto the fact that I didn't actually need to capitalize letters or use spaces, but I didn't really see that as a detriment. I continued to capitalize and use spaces haha! The difficulty certainly picks up a little bit, and I could see it being hard for some, but it was innovative nonetheless. Music and sounds worked well too. Awesome job!
Thanks for playing! I didn't force the use of spaces as I wasn't sure how to visually communicate this to a player and thought that it may lead to frustration if the player didn't realise they'd missed one, but the capital letters is an oversight on my part - can't believe I didn't notice in playtesting lol
I've added a slider in the downloadable versions allowing the player to set enemy speed to their own preference, as the difficulty has been commented on by a few people, hopefully it'll be helpful for those who want to set difficulty to something more in line with their skill level or preference :)
Cheers for the detailed feedback, really appreciate it!
Great presentation
Thanks so much!
Cool game with an interesting idea, but quickly becomes too difficult for me. Maybe I didn't try hard enough.
Definitely fair - a few people have commented that it's tricky. I've released an optional downloadable version for Windows, OSX and Linux that has a slider allowing the player to adjust the speed of enemies that should make it possible to set difficulty to a more manageable level, I'll update the browser version once the voting period ends :)
Thanks for playing!
