Software used
Phaser and Aseprite. Lots of assets and code taken from Xenosea 1. As has been pointed out in the comments the game is not drastically different from the first version. This version was done mostly in one day and it would be fair for the ratings to reflect that.
Use of the limitation
Find undiscovered life forms and dive as deep as possible before your drone finally gives out. Failure is imminent, but the sacrifice will not be in vain.
Cookies eaten
None. I don't eat enough cookies when I think about it.

I recognize you, that's a re-upload of the last game jam no ? That's a shame, all of us did a hard work to get up with a fresh game while crunching during the weekend, that's not the spirit of the game jam.
I'm curious, why would you do that ? If you want to continue working on your game, you are free to do it and release a full and complex game...
The rules said reusing code and assets was allowed. That definitely made this a smaller effort.
Yeah you're right, but the goal of the game jam is to creating a new game idea, you can using your assets and code you already made in order to create that new game idea. For example if you make an ennemy sprite in a platformer, you can use it again in your new strategy game or even an other platformer but with a different concept. If you game looks like an existing one and the gameplay is exactly the same I don't see the point of participating in a game jam. It's not like that's a bad idea to make a second episode of your previous game, but not in a game jam.
I bet I do a lot of things that you wouldn't see the point of. Thanks for playing anyway!
Hm it sounds like you haven't seen a lot of the differences between the games as well. Which organisms have you discovered in the first one vs the second?
The combination of the art & the music create a fantastic atmosphere. It leaves you the question: what will i find next ?
Great entry.
The atmosphere of deep ocean is wonderful!
The control moving horizontally is kind of clumsy, is it designed on purpose?
This was really cool! The brief but good story, excellent sounds, and fun art gave the game a really creepy little atmosphere. I enjoyed it, great job!
