Very fun, the concept is really simple but leads to alot of intense moments of reflecting in tight spots to cover smaller spots, though the level variation was low, going through on a higher difficulty really helped experience more of the mechanics.

Developer

As far as levels go, it was honestly a little disingenuous of me to call them that haha. Maybe layouts that aren't just a square could be interesting though...

this is really fun. the art and sounds are really crisp i love it. it would be cool if you introduced different mechanics or level designs as the game goes on but overall still really fun

Developer

Definitely if I come back to this that is one of the things I will do, thank you very much for playing!

I really like the idea that you can do deflect. Nice work!!

Great game overall, ngl. I'd definately play it again.

This is a really cool arcade experience! I had a lot of fun with it. At first I read the rules wrong and I was trying to avoid stepping into the paint, which was honestly still really challenging and fun lol. I also love the small inclusion of difficulty settings. Also the deflection feature feels really satisfying.

Thank you! This jam has really driven home to me that minimal scope leads to maximum completeness

Hello!  The game is cool I liked it but the volume is way too loud.

I don't think that it was necessary to make the balls collide between them.

There a little lack of effect. Maybe a hit-stop when the player is killed.

Anyway, great job and good luck for your next productions.

Developer(+1)

Yes, I really should have added volume controls, a hit stop would be good. Thank you for playing!

Really well done!
The game is really polished , and it's cool how you were able to make it fun, while keeping the game simple and create it within 3 days!
All you could expect from a 3 day  jam game.
(After some practice   I was able to win in hyper mode, finally a game that is actually playable! :))

Simple concept but very well executed! Loved the start screen and different difficulty options. I thought the corner would be easy after watching thousands of hours of early 90s computer screensavers but I don't think it was as auto-win as I originally anticipated. Great work!

I loved the look and feel of the game! I think there should be a timer or buffer on the shield to avoid spamming. Also, it's easy to sit in the corner of the screen and spam the shoot and defend button so a way to avoid that would be good too.

Developer

The corner thing is a huge flaw with the game, yeah. I was brainstorming ideas to mitigate that but didn't really have time. If I update the game, I might add a feature that paint bombs fall on your position every few seconds, although I'm not sure how I would convey that naturally to the player

I think a cooldown to the shield might work then you couldn't rely on spamming it in the corner.
