Software used
Unity, Aseprite, REAPER

Use of the limitation
The main mechanic of the game is guiding spirits back to their bodies. I used a literal window to the spirit world to be the location in which the player finds spirits to collect.

Cookies eaten
None actually, but a couple of bags of Chex Mix were put down.

I liked the aesthetic! The one sore spot was the cat getting a bit stuck on the sides of platforms

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I forgot to switch on a certain setting to fix that, so that's 100% jam brain making me forget stuff I normally do!

WOW. The cats are cute. My wife will probably love this one. The whole thing is chill. I like the soul returning sound, but it'd be nice if they get up and meow. Overall though, well done.

Developer

You're definitely correct about that — I wanted to implement something like that but I ran out of time. Thanks so much for the feedback!

I like the ambientation and the concept. Very good job for a first game jam!

Thanks so much!

So cute, great music.
It was a bit hard to figure out what to do at first, but it was all worth it when I heard that *zoop* soul-returning-sound.
Great accomplishment for a first game jam!

Developer

Thanks a bunch, Tim! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Very atmospheric. But the limitation is poorly disclosed. Still, well done! Good job!

Thanks!

Awesome concept and ambientation, but instead of the E button to interact with the spirits I think it would be better if they follow you just passing near them.

Thanks for the feedback!

Was really fun but I had to restart my first run because I got stuck under the map.

Developer

Thanks so much for letting me know! I've never had a bug like that, so that's valuable feedback.

i really like the concept is like 8/10

Aww thanks so much! I'm a solo dev and am not the greatest artist so it's nice to see when they're appreciated!

This one's got a ton of heart. I love it, and I love your interpretation of the limitation! I think the jump could be fine-tuned a bit, but that's a pretty minor issue—essentially, it boils down to what xojobr already mentioned. On the whole, leading the spirits to the cats felt super natural. Great work!

Thank you so much!!

Thanks for the detailed feedback! I completely forgot to set the friction on the player material to zero this time, that's something I normally do that jam-brain forgot xD Again, thanks so much for playing and leaving feedback!
