This is so cute and wholesome!  I really like the art and creature designs, and the narrative even is intriguing and sweet.

There isn't a point lol, it's just something silly I made for a little game jam.

Thanks!

Thank you! The password is on someone's bookshelf in one of the houses.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm so glad you liked it!

Really cool little game! Of course I think GB Studio in general is just so dang cool :)

Weird little bug I found- at some point the Plaok in the right plot just stopped growing; like it was at the tiny baby size and just stopped advancing and I couldn't collect anything more from that plot.  The left one still worked so I could still finish the game though.

Really nice character designs and color scheme! I think this would benefit greatly from some type of rhythm-based minigame, dunno if you have that in the pipeline or not.

This is a beautiful little game :D

This is so weird and chill and trippy, I love it!

Might be cool if there was a mode where you could control/interact with the ball(s) in some way.

The art is so cute, and it's kind of mesmerizing to play!

Thank you so much!!  Lol that's okay, I'm always getting stuck on puzzles in adventure games too.

Thanks for the feedback on the soundtrack! I made it myself, mostly just playing around with patterns and noises.  It's not really something I have much experience in.

If anyone still has time I'd appreciate some lightning-round feedback :D

Really cool concept and aesthetic!  Others have mentioned this already but the enemy AI is wayyy too accurate, can barely get a shot in edgewise before getting killed.

I dunno why this bugs me but the scale of the cabinets is too skinny, and I know the dial-up sfx are probably a nostalgia blast for some people but all I can think is why on Earth would an arcade game make a modem noise-

Those last 2 are just imho of course :D

Thanks so much!  Most of it I made up as I went along with minimal vague planning so I'm glad it turned out! :)

:D

Thanks!

Thanks! :D

Idk, I think it's because I found myself using arrow keys to move, because that's the kind of game it starts out as, then having to switch to WASD midway through felt awkward.  I feel like you might not need to aim, necessarily, so maybe Z or X key shoots out the front or something.

Played and rated yours! Super cool mechanic.

Here's mine: https://zeitgoot.itch.io/pistachio2d

This concept is genius :O It's so simple but so fun.

Really cool little game :) though clicking to shoot while moving with the keyboard is not ideal, imo.

Very cool chill little game!  Like the item descriptions :D

Sometimes when you hover over something the first time it's like the text box isn't big enough, but after that it's fine.  I also had trouble getting the last building in the dink dimension to unlock, but after the last one in the other dimension unlocked and I hit the demolition button? it unlocked anyway.  I really enjoyed this though!  Took me about 15 mins or so to finish also.

Super cool game!! The puzzles are very clever and the design is very clean and easy to read, yet still shows some personality to it :D

I get it :)  It's too many games! it's crazy! Never been in a jam this big before, it's unfathomable the amount :O

I'm glad you enjoyed it!!

Oh! someone has a book [on a bookshelf] about raccoons, I understand how you could've missed that.  There is a hint but it's on another bookshelf lol.

Snowboarder! :O

No, but seriously, this is a gorgeous game.  Cool environment; the cyclist animations look so fluid and natural; nice, chill soundtrack; very sweet uplifting message.  An expanded version of this would be really cool and would be in real danger of being an indie gem.

So what if it took me like 20 tries before I wasn't just tipping the little guy over onto his head immediately?! :D

Thanks a bunch! Your game was neat too! :D

Neat concept! Interesting take on the theme, like the little pixely characters.

I'm sure I'm not the first to notice, but there are these flickery white lines that flash in the background of the hospital while you're walking along- it kind of makes it hard to look at.  Perhaps some sort of tile alignment/scaling issue?

It was pretty fun :)  I went probably very much a different direction than everyone else, teaching myself a niche little game engine instead of just using Unity again.  I wanted to focus more on practicing my pixelart, game design, writing and story flow- stuff like that, which was really liberating not having to fiddle with the code so much when I'm solo and that's what I wanted to work on.  [Not that I dislike coding, mind you, it just wasn't what I wanted to spend the majority of my time on this time around.]  Also the last three times I made something in Unity it was being a butt the whole time so I didn't wanna deal with that this time :D

[To elaborate, this is my fourth game jam total, but my first time in THIS SPECIFIC jam.]

I definitely don't think I finished it yet, but I wanted to mention how nice the art is, really cool spooky vibe, feels very polished and put together!

Really interesting concepts here, I friggin' love that what would be falling to your death in most games is actually a mechanic for getting to higher platforms!  That is seriously awesome and really fun to do.

[insert hilariously self-deprecating quip about the weirdness of game promotion.]

:D

No problem!  :)   And thanks!

Thanks a lot for the feedback!  If I had more time I would've fiddled with the camera and  character tuning a bit more... the camera I mostly left as-is.  For the player character I mostly just wanted to get the jump feeling right; the last time I made a platformer the jumping was way too... snappy?  So in that regard I think I've improved a bit ?  They still move a bit fast but I think it's fine.  Slipperiness is a difficult beast to conquer... :D

I'm glad you liked it! :)

This is damn impressive for a mini jam game, a little confusing at times, some fairly odd bugs (someone already mentioned the walk animations thing)- but still very impressive nonetheless; the 3D models, voice acting (a mini jam game with voice acting !!!) and I quite like the charming 2D art at the beginning. :)

What's with the "Current Objective: asdasd" ? :D

(1 edit)

Love the art and whole vibe of this one!  I love the opening 'cinematic' :D  This feels very polished and the whole package is very charming. :)

Really like the artstyle a lot :) Interesting theme here.

I love this! Nice graphics, sound, the letters.  Everything feels very smooth and I just really like the artstyle and concept a whole lot :)  A skip day button would be good though. :D

I'm not usually a fan of match-3 type games, but this one is actually pretty fun :D  Very nice, polished-looking graphics and animations as well!

Thanks!! :)
