this game is fun (: good concept, well-executed, and it fits the limitation
Thank you. We did our best with this one! Im so glad you liked it.
pretty much easy when you keep spamming space and up, when you're up enogh you can go for coins and then just spam to go up again. would be good if there was a penalty for trying to move in direction when in bad color to prevent from moving up so easily. otherwise really cool idea
Yes its easy to just spam space and up I agree. It was the issue with previous version. But keep in mind that the goal of the game isn't just to survive - its go get highest score possible within given timeframe! (You can brag about it among friends!)
Spamming space and up isn't the best tactic for this goal, as far as I know.
The penalty is applied when you don't use different color each time reducing combo - crucial part of high scores.
Allowing player to move in every direction would also allow to just press arrow up and go and would also introduce "missclick" issue for those who try to keep up combo
That being said we are aware of this method and I also consider it somewhat of a flaw. It would be fun excercise to come up with a solution for this problem.
Thanks for feedback!
Wow it really speeds up hah. Fun gameplay and good challenge. Cycling through the colors is a bit more tedious than having a button to select a color but It fits the theme B) Great job!
In little time we had I tried to optimise the speed and rewards to provide decent challange.
I also think that assigning 1 2 3 4 for states would be more enjoyable, but as you said, we went for the theme :)
Thanks for comment!
Really fun and satisfying idea! Good job!
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it
moving with wasd didnt work for me :(, but if it did it would be a very fun game,
Try clicking on the game (mouse) before trying to move.
Also very important rule is that your Character must be the same colour as the tile you are trying to move on. You can change colours with SPACE button.
Keyboard Arrow Buttons should also work if WASD doesn't ;)
now it works! very nice game
A great game, though I'm not very good at it lol. I've played it a couple times now and will probably come back to play it a few more times :)
I'm happy that you liked the game enough to come back :P
WAY Fun. I love that I can figure it out without reading the directions. It's the kind of game that I want to start over after I'm done. I would love to play this with game pad support, using bumpers to change colors.
We aimed for arcade/tetris feel, so I'm glad it feels that way for you.
I think you should be able to move with game pad, but switching colors is bound to space so I dont think it will work.
Also asigning colors to specyfic buttons is something we considered, but we went for the cycle theme instead.
My heart was racing, haha. This was so fun. Took me a second to figure out the space/switch mechanic and what I was supposed to be doing but once I did, I could do this for hours.
I'm happy that you liked it!
Controls might be an issue, especially when you get weird mix of colors at the start and you can't move. That's why we provided quite extensive instructions in the description, but I'm also guilty of not reading them before playing other games here ^_^'
Haha, guilty!! Maybe this is my sign to change my habits XD
945 score. Nice game.
This is a pretty cool little game. With a little polish on the controls I think it could be really fun. It took me a moment to realize that I wanted to be moving up basically at all times, I thought it was bugged at first because I would move sideways and instantly lose. Once I figure out that the board moves down I played it for a while and found it very entertaining. Great job!
