I only had the chance to play your game now. :( It was one of the few that I played to the end. Well designed, no annoying bugs or concept errors, music, and art fits the theme very well. Congrats!
Loved how you included the theme! The lack of diagonal movement made fighting the enemies kind of annoying, but that also made me realize that you don't have to fight any which added a fun layer to the game

We were going for that old school zelda 1 movement, so I actually opted to remove the diagonal movement, but tried to compensate by making it as responsive and intuitive to control.
I hope you enjoyed the game otherwise!

Hyper polished and love the soundtrack. I had the game running just so I could listen to the first area tune.
Love the art style and going around finding out what everyone was saying the whole time was interesting. The music was great because it never felt too intrusive and was fun to listen to the whole way through. Great job!

This game is just great. Very smart use of the limitation. The animations, art, gameplay is wonderful. Best game of I tried from this Jam so far!
Very well made! The graphics are very cute, and the map has a nice variety of colors and patterns! The way the bird walks cracks me up. Unlocking the letters to understand the npc's dialogue is a fun twist on the limitation. Loved it!

Super duper charming! I adored the art style, and loved how you were able to start reading the language over time! I kinda wish I would have needed to talk to the aliens in order to win. Maybe have them tell me how to find my ship parts? Instead of just having my ship get fixed when I found all the glyphs. Just felt like there was more potential there. But I ADORED the art, I'm a sucker for anything cute. Love the game!
