Oh god the game is so realistic cas the leaves just go even when they were collected in the pile XD Great game, thank you! And additional point for unusual idea)

Amazing work! The pixel art is awesomen and the concept is one of the most enojing I have playing todaY!

Developer

Thanks, i love your pfp!!

Love the concept and art! i kept pushing my leaves past the pile like someone who puts too much nondescript aerosolized oil spray on a door hinge

HAHHA xD

this game was super hard. i liked it though sprits were nice.

Developer(+1)

Thanks, yeah after 30 leaves was hard, but thats because i should have made some mechanics to balance the game, thks for the feedback

Very neat! The leaf blower felt great. I had some trouble with the leaves leaving the pile in the back corner, maybe even just making the collection area stretch all the way into the corner would have helped a lot. Overall, great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, the best idea i got here its making the leaves despawn when they get to the colector, so that they count as points, making the area in the corner would make it a lot easier, so maybe the 1st idea. Thks for the feedback ;D

Really cool idea. I like how you chose to implement the limitation.

Visually the game is very clear, and easy to understand.  I am really happy with the core conceit of your implementation of the limitation. The leaves actually feel like leaves and and blowing them around is rather satisfying. From an audio perspective, I think you did a great job. Everything that needed a sound had one, and the rustling leaves effect was a really nice touch.

If you choose to update it, I think that making the leaf pile lock leaves in would be a good idea. As of right now, sometimes the leaves just get stuck in the upper right corner and that can prevent progress and unfortunately the replay button is broken so a full refresh is required to restart.

Thank you for sharing your game! nice work.

Developer

Yes, that's one of the recurring criticisms, I think making the leaves despaw and count as a point when they stay on the hill would improve the experience, as well as perhaps making the wind more natural. But thanks for the feedback

Nice game :) the way the leaves move, especially when the wind blows them is really lifelike and enchanting. The whole world feels alive! Love the graphics and hypnotic music, it's very chill.

First few levels were quite fun, then it started to feel a little tedious with how many leaves I had to collect, mostly because the wind could blow them out of the pile after I got them in there.  Eventually needing  20 leaves to advance, I really was fighting with the wind to wrangle them all into the pile at the same time to trigger the win condition.

Developer

Yeah i should have made so if its on the pile despawns and count as a leave, i had good ideas for this game but it misses a lot of things, i get the tedious thing, missing a lot of gameplay elements to make it fun. Thanks for the feedback

Nice job! This was a great implementation of a simple concept, I think you took the "gathering" idea and did a really good job of expanding it to make it interesting and difficult. I'm really glad you chose to make each level only a certain number of leaves, not having to collect the whole yard, it made it much more manageable and kept different levels interesting. Agree with another commenter here that a sound effect to show you won the level would be a great add - at first I thought I ran out of time until I realized after playing a bit more that it was because I gathered all the leaves. I like the story line too. If you wanted to expand it you could have Bob come yelling at you or putting obstacles in the yard or something lol. Great game!

This game I had very ambitious ideas but as I was working alone I didn't have time to do everything, at first I was going to have a bit of Lore of MrBob, I even wanted to make a figure of him and make a dialog, but I ran out of time, I had some ideas like dogs running and destroying the pile of leaves, MrBob screaming is a great idea !!! But I agree that there should be a sound for when the level is complete, thanks for the feedback

Liked how you implemented both the wind theme and the limitations! It's impressive that you could do both the arts and coding alone! The only thing I would maybe improve is the movement of the leaves, gusts of wind tend to move them all toward the same direction, but in the game, it seemed like every leaf had its autonomous movement, which made the game physics a bit unrealistic!

Developer(+1)

Good idea, yes I calculated the position of the leaves in a certain area around them, but it was different for each leaf, I should have made a Global variable, it would make the game more realistic, thanks for the feedback

Really cute mechanic! It would have been nice to have more variation between levels or a nice satisfying sound effect for completing a level :)

Thanks for the feedback :D
