I really liked the graphics and atmosphere of the game, congratulations!
Love the simplicity of the game, it would work great as a mobile game to play in your boredom.
Although I wish the limitation on constant change was more prominent in the gameplay. It seems like the main point really is just avoiding obstacles as you make your way down.
Anyways, great game overall and I would appreciate it if you left a review on my game as well!
nice chill game, the visual its also cool even tho its simple
Thanks for playing!
I really liked the gameplay! I only scored to 172 since I am that bad at dodging haha, I like that the plunging reduces the drag the winds have on you, it really is a nice small detail!
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for giving it a playthrough :)
Fun and engaging game, I got an high score of 276, the gameplay is very smooth though a bit frustrating with the spawn of beetles right on the screen sometimes
Yeah that's definitely the main fault. I implemented a screen-wrapping feature the beetles wrap around on screen... but it seems it doesn't give player enough heads up. Thanks for the feedback! Great score too!!
Nice work! I really enjoyed your pixel art and animations, especially the "diving" and the collision ones. I liked your use of the limitation a lot, it spiced up the gameplay. I thought the background was a little mismatched style-wise compared to the leaf and beetles. Super cute overall though and thought the sound fx matched well. Agreed with some others that it would be a great mobile app. Some simple ways to make it more replayable would be gaining coins or something based off of your points and being able to apply them to buy different backgrounds/enemy sprites etc not even having to change the gameplay otherwise. Good job!
ooh I like all of your suggestions! I'll have to think about an android expansion some day! "Downwell" comes to mind when you mention unlocking new aesthetics. Great idea!
not bad! Thanks for playing :)
Very fun little game! Moving around & diving feels very satisfying. 🌱 The wind gusts add a considerable amount of challenge.
Do you think you would develop this any further? Sometimes it feels like the beetles spawn on screen instead of moving in from off-screen . But maybe I'm just bad at the game LOL
Here's my record!
Great job!
impressive record! You beat my high score by over 100. I'll definitely investigate the beetle spawning to see if there's any chance they spawn within the screen boundaries. The only other possibility is the screen wrapping effect could feel a bit disorienting and appears like new beetles are appearing from the middle..
I could definitely see some room for expansion so I may return to this one day with a bit more development. What would you like to see in a more fully developed version?
This is such a fun mini game, If it was available to download on Android I would have done so in a heartbeat, the animations are great, the concept is creative for this type of game and it's fun and challenging, Great game!

Thank you! Maybe I'll have to explore a way to export this to Android some day, and tweak the controls a bit for tapping input. Glad you enjoyed! :)
This game was unique and challenging. The controls were fun and I think that the idea of the game is very inspired. Great submission!
Inspired childhood watching propeller seeds falling... and the red killer beetles uprising of '99
Very cool little game that plays really well.
The game is challenging and it feels great to get further than you got before.....I dont even want to mention how many times i had to die just to get past 150 :D.
For games like this, readability is super important and I think you nailed that. I could always tell what was going on.
From a gameplay standpoint, the wind gust mechanic was a cool and effective implementation of the limitation. It added a good deal of challenge, and forced me to really think about how I was aiming. The nose dive was the perfect amount of risk vs reward-- because yay down fast, but aaagh limited control.
Don't really have any notes or critiques for this one. Its a simple game that is really well executed.
Great work. I had fun
awesome I'm glad you had fun! I'd love to make it a little more balanced so players can get a bit further in a satisfying way. I also struggled to get past 150 lol. But for a small game jam I figured a short playthrough is ok for now. Thanks for playing:)
Very smooth gameplay, the background dosnt fit the game art that well but its preety, i liked it, nice concept, good entry
thanks for playing! That's a fair critique. I just threw in a picture of a sunrise I took a few weeks ago as the background, but maybe it is a little out of place here
The controls and the gameplay are very smooth, the music and sound effects accompany the experience well. I liked it.
thanks! Glad to hear the controls felt good
Solid idea. The wind zones are a similar to what I had in mind, but didn't have time to implement. :) Good "quick" entry. Presentation / art style could have been better. Though animations are solid.
thanks for playing! I appreciate the review :)
