This is a lot of fun! Smashing through walls was on the drawing board for us when the limitation was first announced and I’m delighted by your interpretation. The platforming and wall-jumping are very rewarding to pull off, and I love the SFX and firefly visuals. Loved getting to play around that first area and just talk to other birds and figure out the mechanics, too, it’s a good first tutorial zone. I think I would agree that the difficulty scales a little quickly - but I don’t know if I’ve ever played a jam game that was perfectly balanced.

The start menu, chat system, zone transitions, speedrun timer, localization, nyan effect? It’s impressive breadth of scope!

Thanks a lot for your feedback! I'm glad you found the game fun!

Love the bird sprites!!

It was a lot of fun and I wish I was better so I could play more of it. I kept accidentally resetting back to the first level while trying to beat the second. :(

Developer

Thanks for playing! There is probably a bug with the checkpoint system then: crossing the barrier is supposed to save your progress :(

It was that I went back through the barrier between one & two which sent me back to one - so more user error :D Although backtracking between levels could be interesting - some sort of speed-matters metroidvania

Developer

Oh, I didn't test backtracking at all! But I agree that it could be an interesting idea. I always like it when metroidvania games have unique abilities instead of standard dash and double jump so abilities related to speed could be fun.

Nice platformer. Love the idea of smashing through the prisms with a birb haha

Thank you for playing! Glad you liked it!

Wow you must be really good at platforming based on how challenging the levels are. I couldn't pass through level 2 after countless tries but it looks like a fun game :)

Developer

Haha I'm sorry about the difficulty! Thanks for playing!

You made it to hard :'v  for me at least. But it's well polished entry, and quite enjoyable, good job!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! Sorry about the difficulty:)

great game but i can't control

Developer

Thanks for playing!

The game, although fun, is very difficult to control :(

Developer

Thank you for playing! Do you mean key bindings are inconvenient, or the character feels unresponsive, or the levels are too challenging?

Submitted(+1)

game is fun and controls are tight but the game is super difficult, I couldn't get past level 3 for the life of me

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Love the concept, but the difficulty increases too quickly in my opinion. I agree with Miloking_yt that there should be some less challenging areas for at least the first 3 or 4 screens. I understand how it can be hard to tell how difficult your own game is sometimes, as you play it constantly as you make it.

I only made it to the 3rd screen where you need to hop on the clouds to get to the top and then fall down again. I failed so often that I eventually gave up, sorry!

Really nice work though!

Developer

Thanks for feedback! Yeah, it turned out difficult to balance the game while making it solo and without any playtesting. I genuinely thought it was okay, but now all of my friends told me it's way too difficult. 😅

The game was good, but it was a bit too hard. It would be great if you added some more easy levels at the beginning.
