I have to agree with what some others have already said, I'm not really a fan of visual novels but I think adding in some sort of minigame to make the papercrafts would make the game more engaging.

I would suggest having the music turned down a bit at first, since when I started the game it blasted out my eardrums.

I also couldn't help but think that the font was some form of alien writing.

The story is amazing I could almost relate with the socially anxious protagonist. Only issue was there was no gameplay, I was just breezing through a story a nice story but not really interactive.

I loved this visual novel, especially since they are my go to type of games to play! Only thing was that the font was quite hard to read, but great story writing, art and music!

This is a great visual novel! I enjoyed reading about the different characters and their backstories. As simple as the game was, I enjoyed the experience. Like others have mentioned, I quickly grew tired of the font, but that's a very easy thing to change.

visual novels aren't really my thing since i don't love reading as a mechanic, but i see what you were going for here, the concept is charming and heartwarming, somewhat reminiscent of Amelie. the custom font was a bit hard to read (the clouds above the i's especially messed with the kerning) but i did feel like it helped characterize the player. Overall i wish there was more to the mechanic, my only choice was what order i wanted to experience the story in. i enjoyed the art style, and was super impressed that there was quicksave and loading, that's crazy for a jam game!

Thank you so much!! I appretiate your feedback. The game was made in Renpy, which is an enguine specifically created for Visual Novels - most visual novels I saw are actually created with it's help. The artwork was made by Owl City, I would suggest to check them out! I see that a lot of people had problems with the font - that will definitely get updated once the jam is done. And I hear your feedback about the mechanic! I'm considering adding mini-games in the future (as well as expanding the story a bit, perhaps)

Heartwarming game! I like the unique style of the font and dialogue box, and the music is awesome too. The story is very enjoyable and implements the limitation well. Nice job!

Thank you so much!!! I'm really happy to hear that :]

The story and art are very cool! But I don't really like visual novels, you could make a hybrid game, maybe rather than just reading the character saying they papercrafted, you papercraft as a mini-game, and the rest is visual novel. It'd make the game a bit more engaging. Just my thoughts.

Developer

Thank you! All the artwork was made by Owl City, they did a great job. I see where you're coming from! Mini-games might be a nice addition in the future, I'll keep it in mind!

Yeah, it'd make the game more fun.

Also, a bit of a nitpick, the cover image says "Unknow" without the last N.

Developer

Oh, I didn't notice! Thank you for letting me know. I'll fix it after the jam.

I have never dealt with this kind of games before, but I like it! only one thing, the font is cool, but it hurts to read

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it. After the voting time ends, the font will be the first thing to be updated!

It's a short, sweet, story-oriented game. You can't complain really.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!

Adorable game and right up my alley! The artwork and music were both beautiful, and the concept was very heartwarming. I got actual chills at the ending... I don't know, I'm a sucker for these types of feel-good stories. As another commenter mentioned, the font was a little difficult to read at times but I did appreciate its hand-made aesthetic. I think it was really just a couple characters that made it difficult (then again, who am I to talk lol). Beautiful game and great job to all of you!

Thank you so much!! I'm really happy to see that you enjoyed it. I wanted to make something heartwarming, so it's really nice to know the game managed to give those feelings! If you enjoyed the artwork, I suggest checking out our artist Tiny Owl! They worked on some other games, both of which include their artstyle. And if you liked the music, our musician, Streetcat, is actually looking for some jams to participate it! I definetally recommend checking them out, they work with a variety of genres. I will definetally keep in mind you feedback about the font! Accessibility is going to be my first priority after the voting period is over.

This is really cute! I really like the story concept and the art is lovely! If you had time to expand on the idea in the future, it would be nice if you could select what papercraft to make for each person based on clues about their personalities. I would also recommend adding an accessibility font option as I found the text a little hard to read.

Thank you so much!! I'm glad you liked it. I will definitely include an acessibility font in the next update! And you idea with selecting a papercraft sounds pretty fun, I'll keep it in mind!
