It's very cool to play even if sometimes the game get stucked when hero has one forever life. Great job !

To be entirely honest it has issues. That said I think this has great potential. Adjustments to the AI, balancing some things, maybe some different types of heroes. I could easily see this being a hit mobile title.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback and playing. Any specific adjustments to AI you think are a priority? Or what about it in your experience wasn’t quite right?

The AI for both sides essentially just went in random directions so it became just lay down as many monsters and traps as possible.

If it were me, I would give the hero pathfinding toward the chest and have the monsters wander randomly until the hero came within a square of them.

I really love the game's concept and think it could be great with a little work.

Excellent. I was thinking something similar, that or have certain mobs patrol in different directions. Thanks for the detailed feedback and suggestion.

Can't want to see what you do with it, if you end up putting it up somewhere besides here let me know.

It's super cool game but spikes are too good.

That's a very interesting game idea. I think you are on to something really cool here.

Is there some logic to the movement patterns of the hero and the monsters? It seemed pretty random to me. I think this game would work better with some more determinism. If players and monsters had more predictable movement patterns, then you could turn this into an awesome puzzle game.

Also the graphics and sounds are pretty polished for a weekend game jam.

Developer

Thanks. The hero will go to the treasure the next turn if it can make it. Other than that there is not as on testing the less random it was the more easy it became to win, and I didn't have the time to spend on it, but definitely something I can play around with post-jam. Thanks again for playing.

Very well executed. Has impressive amounts of polish for a game jam. Color me impressed!

Thank you very much.
