I tried wayyyyyy too long to get the true ending but after what felt like 100 attempts i got there. To call the experience fun would be a lie, it was extremely hard, and the further you get by collecting new treasures the harder it gets. But that does not mean that it was a bad game, actually there are only 2 things that anoyed me, but i will come to that later. The game is super polished, the art looks amazing, the music is great and the caracter controlls feel good aswell (if you don't happen to carry the treasure that messes up your shotspeed), I especially loved the bosstheme. And the core mechanic of the pop-up windows is genius aswell and the small jokes and hints hidden everywhere are super cool. The main thing that annoyed me were the enemy hitboxes, if you shoot too high, the sprite of your shot will visualy "connect" with your enemy but not hit him because he's on another "layer", for me personally this felt very frustrating, but maybe you made this intentionally and i just wasn't able to adapt to it. The other thing that felt a little frustrating was, that the dungeons could be enourmous, you can go 10-20+ rooms without finding anything, which feels very unrewarding, and can get very frustrating because you're risking your life and all the treasures you already collected without getting any kind of reward. So i would have liked it if there were some smaller actal upgrades every now and then, or just smaller dungeons i general. But thats just complaining on a very high level, overall this was an amazing game and my personal favourite of this jam so far.

Woah, thats a big comment! Much appreciated! Absolutely, lots of little issues like that which we didnt end up fixing. Enemy hitboxes are at the bottom of the sprite (to  create the idea of them standing), but yeah I can see that being awkward. It being our first jam we planned everything all wrong and didnt get to do much testing at all. The worlds used to be about 3 times as large. 3 TIMES BIGGER! Thankfully we toned it down but even then it was still too large, guess that goes to show. Sorry it took so long to beat, sounds like you had some awful luck (we regret making the worlds randomly generated now) but glad you managed to finish it!

Thank you for going into so much detail, it means a lot! Hopefully we can improve for our next jam!

Great game, and best use of topic and limitation! Reminded me of older Windows and annoying popup times.

Very good game! It's a very creative take on the theme+limitation and I had a good time playing it.

I think the game is bugged, it said "click here to win" and I clicked and I didn't win

(great stuff tho)
