Nice! I really like the idea!
This was really great! I'm a fan of minesweeper-like puzzle games and this was an interesting twist to the genre!
Thanks for playing! I'm a fan too, so we'll probably make a post jam version with a final boss :D
Great concept so far, i'm not a big fan of minesweeper so take my word of this, i played this game more time than i've played the original minesweeper (XD) it was nice to see the different foes and the stetic is so good and the effects when exploding a mine are really great, feels well programmed
Thanks for playing! I can add the review out of context with "I played this game more time than i've played the original minesweeper!"
True Story XD
I really liked your game, I was just a little confused about the damage caused / received, but nothing that some visual feedbacks do not solve, maybe a counter showing the accumulated damage you will cause, and some health notification when you take or give a blow, but the game is really fun, good job guys!
Thanks a lot! I'm confident that the game will be better with those kind of queues :)
I love minesweeper! Any chance for a web or Linux build? I don’t have access to another OS at the moment. :(
The web version is uploaded, but somehow the box for "File to be played in the browser" did not appear :( (The game was in a zip file and the HTML is named index, so idk). I will try again on another post, and add it if the jam organizers let me :D
Added Web version!
I played it and I like it. Cool level map! The idea to use Minesweeper for skill-based battle is fun ^^ I was missing some info though how exactly the damage is calculated. Per correctly flagged mine? Per revealed slot?
Nice submission, thank you :)
The damage is the sum of the "number" tiles you reveal. Bombs only give you information on where the numbers are (And finish your turn if you find one). Flags are just a visual aid. I'll write this down so we can make it clearer next time! Thanks for playing :D
I really enjoyed this!
I took a video of your game, you can check it out here! http://bit.ly/bean-stream
Wooo, thanks for playing it on stream! I'll definitely watch it after work
Cool idea, but it was a little confusing, and the minesweeper implementation could have been better (stuff like your first click shouldn't be a mine, and it should automatically clear out all the adjacent tiles that have 0 mines nearby, also chords would have been nice)
Thanks for the feedback! Time constraint took a toll in the game, we weren't a full team so we could only do some things :P
We'll definitely fix this in a post jam version, and also add some juice to the combat
Hi! I'm the programmer. We didn't really have too much time, made this in about ~24 (sleepless) hours. There's so much juice (and balance) we wanted to add, but time didn't allow. The adjacent mines not being automatically uncovered was implemented, but we decided to remove it because it made the game a little too easy. It might not have been a good idea, looking back.
Thanks for your feedback!
