thanks for sending me the link to your game, overall i thought the art and music were great i enjoyed it. the jump mechanic was a bit tough to line up with the food spawn at times, i thought it was a good idea with the notification icon when the net was present too, gave me as the player a heads up.

great work!

I really like the style, there's nice detail and it's easy to see what things are

Enjoyment: A lot of the enjoyment came from the music along with the atmosphere of being in a frog tank with all these little fishies, hopping around was fun to do in rapid succession but often I wished I had more granular movement when hopping around the tank.  Another thing that seemed confusing and hindered on that enjoyment was that I couldn't click anywhere to jump, felt like that was unnecessary, but at the same time, was an interesting idea if clicking outside of the frog were to shoot out the tongue in that given direction.. That way the tension of the hand coming up would be really exhilarating and frantic, as u bring your mouse back to center after trying to eat all the food..  It would also fix the issue with not having granular movement, since that was usually the reason why it bothered me, I couldn't grab food properly.

Concept: I like the concept a lot.. Just really enjoyed terrariums and fish tanks as a kid, the concept of a world inside of a glass box was always cool to me.  I like the idea that the frog is trapped, and that the hand is this ever imposing threat that could come at any moment.. It made the game scary & without that I'd feel like a lot of tension would be lost.

Presentation: Definitely cute.. It has the aesthetic of old-school newgrounds games you would find so something about it drags me towards it.  Something oddly grungy and old-school.

Use of Limitation: I mean this was dead-on.. You made the game set in a fish tank, it was clever for sure.

Thank you! I agree with all. I wish I had more time to keep making it better before submission haha.

the game was really fun and I adored the music. the control are a bit strange but I really liked it

Enjoyment: It was quite fun to hop around the tank eating... confetti? Fish food, I guess.

Concept: The control scheme is interesting. I'd have let the player click anywhere, rather than specifically on the frog, but the moveset is cool.

Presentation: The art all comes together to sell the feeling of a fish tank. I also liked the music and the jumping sound. The first few times the net appeared, I thought it was an objective. Is there a way to make it seem more menacing?

Use of the Limitation: Interpreting "level" as "character level" is a really funny idea that hadn't even occurred to me. Nice!

Took me a few tries to figure out the controls -but i kinda liked that -it was really fun and challenging to figure it out how to play it well while running from the giant hand! xD  awesome work!

Thank you! I actually played your game a bit before you commented and was telling my wife it was one of the best ones! This is my first game jam. A lot of fun but frustrating not being able to perfect everything and add more within the time frame lol. The next one I join will likely have a longer timeframe.
