I like the theme and the visuals. It would have been nice to have different types of monsters appear.

Some music and sound effects would really have helped immersion. There are many bundles of music free for use out there, and you can easily create old-school nostalgic beeps and bloops using Bfxr or some such program.

In terms of gameplay, there don't seem to be any decisions to make. That means there isn't really any true gameplay per se.

Yeah I know the thing with the music… But I had no time to add some music. And there is no real gameplay. I know. But thanks for the feedback. It was my first try submitting a gameJam so I am really happy to get some feedback :) The thing with the other characters, I tried adding some other things creatures, but I had some troubles with the animator and so on. Actually, there are some sprites in the game, but I had some troubles. If the voting phase is over, I want to work on it a bit more, and try to add some new characters and so on.

Doing jams is a great way to learn! :) Every jam you do will push you to grow more comfortable with your portfolio of skills. Good luck!

What you need to do?

I really like what you did with the assets you chose. Really nice visually.

Gameplay wise,  I barely got any of the characters to survive (I actually had negative money). Either I'd roll really high or the creatures would have a low value, but that's fine. Just a matter of luck.

Well yes. That was my interpretation of “fate”. Because you decide the fate of the characters by luck. But I must also admit that it is not particularly balanced. :)

But thanks that you like what I did :)
