bruh only 38
I found the acceleration to be troublesome when playing, if intended, I would suggest to have the camera project forward so that the player can see what's coming because at that speed there's not much to do when a bottomless pit or an enemy shows up.
I appreciate the checkpoints as I died constantly, I tried opening a chest and I died lol
Thanks for the feedback, the "death" after reaching the chest is supposed to be a restart and I'll add indicators to show a death/victory message! I already tweaked the acceleration i just forgot to update it
The movement is a bit clunky, but with a few tweaks could work nicely (something geared towards more control in the air). I also don't understand if the chest is the end? Overall it is a cute little platformer.
I like the movement, the acceleration was quite fast but i thought that made it quite interesting :)
Do you have any suggestions for enemies, items, maps, ect?
You could try making some levels that focus on using the momentum you build up
The art is nice. I like the knight. And the music is nice for a while until you lose 10 times and it keeps restarting every time. I wouldn’t have the music restart when this happens. Also, for some reason, I died when I reached a chest? And I had trouble with the mechanics and kept losing. Nice potential, I like platformers and cute pixel art, wondering if I’d get to a witch castle if I had stayed.
I see, I'm working on a sky and castle level and I'll update you when it's done!
Thanks! Keep me posted :)
If the difficult can get a bit easier and the music doesn’t restart when we die I’m sure I’d play for much longer! (unless the chest I reached was the end?). It was one of my favorite games and very pleasing, apart from those frustrations I mentioned.
The game actually looks very good. What I would have added is a coin counter, like 0/10 Coins.
I used some open source (C00) assets, however modified it to suit my games style!
