This is a great use of the theme and I really enjoyed it. I couldn't manage to get past the second boss but I think that was due to my skill level lol

This is a super unique game and I really enjoyed playing it. Orbiting planets is such a great take on the theme and it is executed really well here. The game was really easy to understand as well. Aside from gameplay the games artwork, sound and general atmosphere were brilliant too. You should be really proud of yourselves!
Thanks for all the feedback I really appreciate It and im glad u enjoyed it. I think the techniques that would help with the first boss weren't really explained too well in the tutorial but I tend to use the double jump you get from attacking to make it to another platform, if you can't make it on top of the platform you can touch the side or bottom and rotate to get your jump back. While attacking you are also immune to damage so if you time it right you can attack through projectiles but again that wasnt really explained well in the tutorial. If I spend more time working on the game I'll definitely spend a while on a better tutorial to lessen the learning curve.
The game seemed well made but very challenging (although thats probably just my lack of skill lol). The upgrade system was very satisfying to use as getting progressively more powerful is always fun. Sometimes I died randomly (or at least i think it was randomly) which might be due to those mines spawning on top of me but im not sure. Overall good job with your game!
The music was really pretty and I loved all of the boss designs, the twist with the orange moon boss making everything dark was a nice surprise too. The skill tree was a good addition because getting stronger is super satisfying and im very grateful you put the checkpoint before the final boss because it took me a good few tries lol
I really like the art style for this and I'm a big fan of the colour palette too. Attacking didn't feel generic either which was great and I actually had to think in order to get damage off without being hit. One suggestion I have is maybe make it so the bosses cant attack for maybe the first 2 or 3 seconds because sometimes I would get hit as soon as the fight started although that might just be my fault. For your first ever jam game you did a really good job!
