Good game. The RTS felt good. Some minor bugs (got stuck once and it didn't always register me dying) but fun game for a jam.

Looks like a nic game with an original idea. The controls have design isssues tho.

Cool, I liked the strategy element in this game. There are some small things that would probably improve the game a ton:

- Some audio effects when the Skelly or Villagers attack. Right now there's no feedback, accept the health diminishing.

- Some UI improvement in the 'shop' would go a long way, like disabling the items you can't buy just yet.

There was also a bug where I couldn't select the main character anymore.
Other than that it was a fun experience!

is it the Godot Engine? If true my advice is to use the AudioStreamPlayer withot 2D postfix for a background music.

good job!

Thank you for that! Someone mentioned that they only heard it on their left headphone, now I know how to fix that! Thank you very much!

The RTS controls felt good.  For some reason my brain kept thinking the villager was talking to me in the tutorial and the little green guy on the text box was the villager i was supposed to kill.  Made me laugh when I realized how dumb I was being.  XD.    Nice concept, reminded me of infectator a bit.  Good work!

I like what you've done with the concept! Also nice variety with the enemies

If you need feedback you can always ad more polishing on the combat side. For example just adding sound effects or color flashing when someone gets hit makes it more obvious.

But yeah nice work man!

Really cool idea, and I love the control scheme. Didn't expect to see well implement RTS controls, but it works great!
I had a hard time understanding when my dudes were attacking, so more feedback around that would be good.
But, I had a lot of fun playing this game, great work!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! If I add to this game, I will definitely make it more obvious if skelly bros are attacking!

Thank you so much! I appreciate that input. If I continue working on the game,  will add that. Thank you for playing and reviewing!

Easily one of the most fun games yet reminded me of the early missions of the undead campaign in warcraft 3 great work.

Thank you so much :D You just made my morning. Glad you enjoyed it!

Good job on the speech and instructions. I'd echo what other people are saying that it's pretty confusing, and I'd add that part of the confusion comes from the delay when selecting units. The heart doesn't appear for a second so it seems like nothing is happening.

For tutorial improvement, I think it could be a little more iterative, after step 3 or 4 it sort of just gives you the rest of the instructions at once and its a lot to process.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I certainly wish I had more time for the tutorial. Especially since I have non-intuitive mechanics unless someone played an RTS very recently haha.

I really appreciate you playing and taking the time to leave feedback!

Game seems interesting, I think controls could be simplified a lot, I don't see much need for playing with the camera and the mouse selections. First time I played I didn't realize that I had to aim to the villager, I run out of life and nothing happened, I couldn't fire anymore, nor kill the villager, nor die, so I had to refresh the page. Then I was able to kill him, and wasn't too clear to me that then I had to move into a different village. What happens when you run out of your life and can't kill anymore?

Anyway, I think the use of the assets was nice, and I see this game could be quite interesting once it's further polished! :)

Developer

Thanks for your feedback and for playing! I was hoping the tutorial at the start would have cleared things up, but I could've made it better it seems. The skeletons are able to attack villagers. If you run out of skeletons and health, you'll need to reset the level. It seems that is the thing that is confusing is that skeletons can attack. Later on you will need to dodge stuff with you and your skeletons which is why you need to select and move with the mouse controls. I think a better tutorial would have cleared all this up.

Thank you so much for playing and for your detailed feedback!

I didn't quite get it .. I think ..

It's very ambitious and what's there works great.. some tips: The audio-source should follow the player, it seems to be placed top-left, so I only heard music on my left ear.

Dialogue works great, controls are nicely done. Super creative gameplay .. although I don't get it .. can the sekeletons attack? If not, how do I get more skeletons? In the second village, they dodge some projectiles, so I don't have enough health to get all of them .. or did I miss something?

Maybe I misread some dialogue or something .. still, pretty nicely done! The first game of this variety I've come across :D

Thanks for the feedback! I didn't test with headphones so I really appreciate the comment on the audio. I think I just attached it to the main scene so I bet it was locked at the top left coordinate.

The skeletons can attack if they get close enough. Maybe some more visual feedback would have helped make this clear. Thank you so much for playing and for your feedback!
