Lovely game and really polished! Only feedback I could give has already been given (quicker restart animation and lvl 7 being really hard). It has nice music and a cool introduction to the mechanics giving it a professional feel, really well done!
Play awesome game

Great entry! Though, I couldn't solve level 7. I don't really have any remarks.
Thanks!! If you want to take a pick on how to beat the lvl 7, check this stream Corgibits did on my game last week: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/720146458?t=01h29m03s
Also, you can check corgibits game here if you want: https://corgibits.itch.io/goblin-king
Cool game. A lot of features and very nice screen effects. The music combined well too.
only one i wish is to have a more quick restart transitions!
excellent work!
Great soundtrack, great polish, lovely ending! Really cute puzzles too! I liked that there were layers to the puzzles (normal solution as well as solution that gets diamonds and coins)
I think I agree with others about the bat (especially in level 7). It could be frustrating to get hit by it, especially when your movement may go off camera and the bat can be off camera as well.
Overall though, great work!
Thanks!!
Yep, you have to have patience on that level and probably play it a few times. Once you won it a few times it gets a lot easier really. Not completely sure if I can remove the bat on that level without loosing its essence, I might have to change that level completely to a different one. Thanks for your feedback!
This game has a lot of polish and charm! The puzzles were well thought out, but I'm not really a huge fan of the bat in level 7. I get why he's there, but I felt it got in the way of the puzzle a bit (also sometimes you can't see where he is due to the camera, so it can be hard to predict where he will be at times). Regardless, that's a super minor gripe for a game that was very fun and enjoyable! Fantastic job!
Yes, I believe pathfinding is actually using the A* algorithm. But what I really used is the Navigation2D tools that's part of the available Godot engine classes, so for me the algorithm used for pathfinding was abstracted by Godot, which made it super easy to implement. Here's the documentation on that:
Nicely made game! Loved the animation you made for the bouncing, really clever.
Wow, this game is really cool, I love how you get used to the controllers at the beginning, each puzzle has it unique solution, and the game looks very polished, love the music and SFX, The only thing I would change is to respawn faster, the bat kept killing me because I was too slow lol, Congrats ;)
Really fun and challenging to play. I appreciate how you made the puzzles challenging but not in a frustrating way. It seems like a lot of thought and planning was put into level design, and you did a very good job of teaching the player how to play the game with very little written instruction. I really enjoyed playing this game!
Really cool. Made it to level 7 and then I stopped because it was taking too long.
The mechanic is an old one but you explored it a little bit more than it was already done, so nice job about that. I like how you introduced it without talking about it, just putting the player in a level and let him figure out how to move.
The moving enemies are an interesting decision, I don't know if they really fit with the puzzle gameplay, but I guess that comes down to personal design taste
Thanks!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
If you think this game should have more ratings and plays it would be super helpful if you can post this game on one of the Community posts like the 'Cool games to rate' one, I've been trying but not been able to promote the game much. People usually plays only the most popular ones, though I don't really complain since this game has more ratings than hundreds of other entries on this game jam, but I'd love to see more people playing it before the evaluation period ends :)
Got 4740 (not 5k sadly)
This doesn't have enough plays.
it's in my top 3 games this jam!
So polished and so fun. Also gameplay is super addictive. You managed to not put a tutorial and make the learning ingame.
You could like add some random scale manipulation when the player does nothing (Like sonic).
Maybe a camera shader would work for game too. (hard to find new stuff everything is here already).
You should've made more mistakes so i could've given more feedback O_O
Edit : i got it

This is a really charming game that takes the classic gameplay of keys, locks and switches and makes a polished, professional quality game. I enjoyed it a lot! Apart from some very minor graphical glitches between tiles (I think it's a Godot thing with web builds) I can't fault anything. The puzzles were all very well done and increased in difficulty perfectly, adding new concepts one at a time. Beautifully done, a great entry to the jam.
Your story resonated with me also! I've only recently come back to making games after a few years in the professional programming world. I also worked full-time while working on my game and I understand the struggle, it felt like I was on the computer for a week straight!
Thanks!! I'm very glad you enjoyed it!
I think I already fixed the glitches on my computer but unfortunately I can't upload the fixes during the evaluation week, so they'll be uploaded right after!
And yes, working on the game while also having a full-time job is SUPER exhausting, literally more than 100 hours in front of the computer on a span of 7 days. I completely enjoyed the process though, but it definitely got me really tired by Thursday that week and still had a few days to go. 4 days later and I think I'm still recovering. I will certainly be participating on other game jams in the near future, but I'll leave some time in between them so I don't loose my mind :)
Very well polished! The gameplay was super engaging and got me thinking, was kicking myself when I missed a few of the gems haha. I really liked the respawn effect it was so cool. This is a great game good job!
Wow I'm blown away by this. It was very polished and fun, the game was cute, and the puzzles were super challenging (for me). The way all the mechanics worked together was really amazing, and the "hints" were just the right amount of information to be helpful. And the last level....without spoiling anything...was perfect.
Seriously awesome work.
