What a gleeful compact experience. The way certain expressions track the remaining bugs is inspired. The expressions in general match the emotions of the game perfectly. I love the expressiveness and clever depth of the movement and how attacking is tied to it. My only wish was that holding the hands out  would increase the hitbox size temporarily. Excellent work!

This is a very good example of a simple idea done right. It’s a very creative concept for a game and the mapping of the controls as the hands is done very well which leaves a lot of room for player expression. I can move faster by moving both hands, or do quick claps, or even a large clap (sound effects and the subtle animation makes it feel really satisfying to do). All the faces that character makes is expressive and adds to the game’s polish. There’s even a courtroom cutscene which I really like. For criticism, I think it would improve the feel if the hands helped push the fly towards the middle when they come together - this would make it feel like the player’s actions have more influence in the game. I think the game also needs a bit more variety to keep the player engaged longer. One of the levels had blue flies, which is a good start to encourage players to make use of the large clap. You can also add enemy varities, like maybe mosquito that will land on the player’s face, and the player must use the hands to shake them off once in a while. Overall, I had lots of fun playing this! It’s charming and has a lot of potential!

Thanks for the feedback! Good call on the fly-pushing, I think that would have helped with the hitbox issue, while still keeping the bug-squishing feel intact.

Sometimes you dont want to play a challenging game, or a confusing and high action game, sometimes you just want to clap your hands and murder some bugs, really really fun! The facial expressions for the different hand directions were great and all around I just had fun nothing more nothing less. Really nice job!

Hey I'm glad you had fun, thanks for playing!

Great game mate, it reminded me of the swatting game in Mario Paint. You really brought a simple, original idea to life. The part where the lawyer fly throws the polaroids of the face's carnage in front of it had me DYING, so funny. Loved all the little touches like the face's eye tracking and animations.

I only had a tiny issue which was the last fly was like completely off the screen, I had no idea where it was sometimes for ages.

Overall a really original and well executed entry, nice work.

Developer

Thanks for playing it! I've totally been kicking myself for the off-screen bug bug because I know it would've been a one-line fix. but owell  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

This was brilliant.  Absolutely brilliant.

Im not joking by the way.  Here is my reasoning:

You executed an idea into a game and did it pretty much flawlessly.  The controls convey the action of the character *perfectly*, and what some people consider a flaw with the hitboxes....is actually just expressing the idea it represents exactly as it should.  I'm sitting here like "damn it, why are they so hard to hit, must be a really small hitbo....omg this is brilliant."

The humor was top notch, comedic timing was spot on.

Everything felt properly reactive, and the facial expressions and eye tracking were such great details and injected a ton of fun into this.  Just dancing around and looking goofy was a joy before the game began.

The simplicity of the controls still enabled a variety of actions, and everything "felt" great.

This is probably the most "lean and mean" expression of a video game I've played in a long time.

Thanks so much for your comment! I'm really happy you enjoyed the game! I wanted to make a point of letting the player be able to express and have fun while moving around, so I'm glad it hit the mark with you!

i felt bad after it said that they did not do anything and they even had their children so after i finished i wanted to see if their was a pacifist run so i just ran around happy with the other bugs but nothing it is really fun but i would like a pacifist ending :D

Developer

Ah I agree, a pacifist mode for this would've been fun too!

Such a cool idea with amazing execution.

The courtroom was hilarious.

Love the dynamic faces of the player character, the court scene was also very funny and unexpected. Only thing I would ask for is maybe a bigger hitbox hahah

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I agree about the hitbox. I got frustrated at times getting the last few flies.

The game was hilarious, especially with the court thing! The graphics were pretty neat too, very creative. An overall 3-4 star effort, well done!

The court scene had me laughing out loud.

The player-character is adorable, and so are the fly-characters. Stop playing after the blue bugs because chasing down the last bug on each level was a frustration; perfect simulation of real life fly swatting.

Great job.
