This was super fun ^^ The variety of weapons makes the game very engaging, it's like a treasure chest :D On my third run, I discovered the amazing spring loaded punch, I breezed through the levels, until the first (?) big boss with the hands, and I'm not sure if I can beat it with this weapon because nothing I did seem to have any impact ^^' (And also the game crashed right after I died there.)
I just kinda missed some feedback when hitting the enemies (or maybe I was just really super bad at hitting them)!
Anyway, super feeling, and great to have so many things to try \o/
Yeah, there is a problem with the guns balance, and biggerr with the melee ones, but the important is to have fun don't matter the gun, it's nice to see that you liked it ^^
It's probably a bug since we couldn't give all of our love and time to the boss, sorry for that. And the hitting enemies is a issue that we didn't notice but we gonna look for that.
Thank you for the feedback.
There's so much variety O_O
Love how you added bosses and pretty much used each monsters available in the art kid to your advantage!
Of course not all the weapons have all the same power levels but hey, i get what i deserve for picking the toilet upgrade lol.
I think a cool thing you could've added are sound effects for the weapons. Like my boomerang didn't had SFX (small complain tbh).
Good work!
We appreciate the feedback!
We were going to rank the power of the weapons (so you start with worst weapons and getter better ones by the end) but we ran out of time. Same thing with SFX and the story. Even so, we are happy to see so many people enjoying the game!
Side note: I personally like the toilet, through I admit it's tricky to use.
This is that i had bats following me and i was too slow lol so toilet was useless since it takes time to drop.
Needed like a sword or smt lol
I love the weapons in this game, the sounds and effects work so well. It would be nice to see some damage indicators to know if enemies were being hit. I found that if I didnt have a weapon that 1 hit the bats (like the axe that threw the arc out) it was almost impossible to avoid the bats. Nice game, Keep up the good work :)
Thank you for the feedback and for playing our game! The damage indicator were one of the things we planned to implement, but we ran out of time, but it's for sure something we might explore if any day this game gets bigger.
The start is a bit confusing, like are you the knight or the spirit thing? The sprites were all blurred out, I don't know how it works in Godot but at least in Unity you have to disable bilinear to the sprites, if that helps.
But it is a very interesting game, many already said it, but you used a lot of the assets, and that's really good!
Thanks for the feedback! Just finished looking at the blurriness: it wasn't the imports fault, but rather how the viewport scaled when it was resized. I changed the settings to keep the scale and reuplouded, so it should be a little better now. Thanks for the heads up.
Love how you used seemingly hundreds of assets from the pack! Especially loved the Lorem Ipsum spell book. The boss was kind of confusing at first, as I didn't know if I had to aim at the face or hands. Otherwise a very entertaining game!
If you consider the glitch gun at the end we actually used all the the pack haha.
We understand your trouble with the boss and note for later, but we didn't had much time to work with the boss as we wanted.
Thank you for playing our game.
Nice game, a nice array of weapons and enemies, The dual machine gun was a little hard to control at first but after you get your way around it, the scroll's 'lorem ipsum' it's great! I love how you used the assets!
Thanks for the feedback! Our idea was to use as many assets from the spritesheet as possible, mainly through the many different weapons. If you count the final gun (where the sprite swaps randomly among the spritesheet), we actually used the entire sheet.
Wow, really fun game! So many weapons to choose from, and a bunch of interesting enemy types. It was really satisfying figuring out the patterns of different enemies - once I realized the ghosts reappear where they disappeared out, they became a much easier enemy!
My favorite weapon was definitely the smiley face that turned angry, that felt way more powerful than anything else I tried!
I got pretty far, and eventually after killing a "King" ghost enemy, the screen just turned grey and nothing happened - I don't know if I bugged out or if I beat the game, haha.
It would be really cool if the enemies could sometimes drop healing, and the upgrade screen was a choice between more health, and more power or something like that!
Also, I didn't understand the start of that game at all, talking to the guy and getting a chicken and then drinking a strength potion to start the game felt very strange - it felt completely unrelated to the rest of the game.
But overall, really really awesome game. I had a lot of fun playing it! Nice work!
Thank you for playing and commeting your ideias, everything just note to try to improve later, now we just released an update with the final boss if you wanna to check it out.
And the ideia of the start is that the mage just poisoned you with that potion and it made you into that monster in a strange world, we planned to develop better this story but ran out of time.
Interesting game! Somewhat odd to play, but overall fairly engaging. My main suggestions for polish would be to make it clearer from the beginning what exactly is going on in the story, add some sound effects (the music was awesome btw), and fix the sprite scaling (I don't know how to do so in Godot, but see if you can set it to point filtering instead of bilinear).
Going to look to do so, thank you for your time playing it and the comment!
Could you add a windows version?
Now it's in, sorry
