Hi! I was wondering how strict the definition of "visual novel" is for this jam? I've had an idea for awhile that incorporates point-and-click object puzzle mechanics. Would I be able to submit something like that?

I have a question: I looked at the rules but I didn't see anything about creating the visual novels before the submission dates, so are we allowed to finish the projects before August? 

My team is hoping to release chapter 1 of a 9(ish) chapter story for the jam, and continue working on it after. Problem is that the LIs and thus the romantic component of the story don't get properly introduced until chapter 2. Is that fine, or should we buckle down and try to get both chapters 1 and 2 done before we submit?

for nsfw entries, how do we tag them? i assume just #nsfw and #erotic, but id like to make sure :]

I have a question, what game engine to you need to use? Or can be any game engine ?

Hi! Got confused about submission rules. Me and my friends made a game during August (just finished this Saturday) and thematically and in content it fits this jam like 1000%, but. Could you confirm that it's fine to submit if a lot of the game was made before August 27th?

Would robots count? (late ask i know, but i wasn't sure i would have the time till now) and if so i assume the less human like the better, yes?

I think my game fits with monstrous desires because a route is dedicated to falling in love with a ghost as well as the supernatural powers of the characters. The game is free as there is a web version. Does it fit with the game theme?

Hello! Quick question: I wanted to have the sequel to my first game done in time for the jam, but thanks to a number of outside circumstances beyond my control, my game likely won't be done in time. Can I submit my first completed game instead? And if (by some miracle) I get the next game done in time, can I submit both? Or its it only one per jam?

Hi! I was looking over the game jam and it says that submissions are due by October 28 at the bottom of the page but at the top, it says that submissions are open until November 1st. I was wondering which one it was?

is a kinetic novel ok to submit? the story is pretty short, adding story branches would barely extend playtime.
