If you're experiencing any weirdness with textboxes or room mechanics, please make a new save file (this will reset all variables and start fresh) Please read the game description for info on playing with a keyboard.
That aside - I'm a solo dev who had to start 3 weeks late because of work, but I'm happy with what I was able to get done, I hope you like it!! Ironmouse is a huge inspiration for me, I just adore her - I'd DIE if she got to play my game omg omg

Aww, man! The intro got me! xD I don't know how to say it, but in my opinion, the gameplay mechanics need a bit of polish. Other than that, you did an amazing job with the graphic assets. Nice work :D
Fun and challenging, though I wish the enemies were a bit less spongey. The character design is amazing, and also the intro... sorry, The Intro. That intro made me laugh so much. Well done!
The only problem is that I'm not sure the game can be finished, since every dialogue I trigger gives me the explanation for using spells. I just reach the room with a snoozing ghost , and then everything freezes. A bug, maybe?
EDIT: I went back and found an ice spell. Same thing happens, but now the dialogue mentions the ice spell instead of the fire spell.
Oh no!! That's strange, no one else has gotten that bug before - I'd recommend starting a new save to reset all the common variables then. That aside, I'm happy you liked what you were able to see! And yeah, spongy enemies have been one of the main complaints so far, I'll keep that in mind next time, thank you for your feedback!
You absolutely won me over with the intro. This is actually one of my favorite games in the jam and I think it deserves way more attention! The gameplay is a little bit clunky, but I appreciate the depth of different spells and moves you get. The art style is awesome and the character designs are AMAZING!!! This game has so much charm and character to it I love it!

I liked the introduction but was having a lot of trouble after it with controls on keyboard. I reset them a few times and restarted the game a few times but certain things weren't working, I may have been setting it up wrong but I couldn't seem to attack the monster properly because of it and just died. I'll have to come back to it with a controller to finish it.
I see.. A friend of mine was able to beat the game on a keyboard, but maybe the set up process is pretty convoluted then. I appreciate you coming back to it later though! This is only my second Gamejam, I'm learning alot xD Specifically, setting aside time to make sure things work on keyboard because not everyone has controllers laying around lol
I added native keyboard support in the latest version! :D
