Solo (1)

Will you continue work on the game after the jam?

No - this was made only for the jam

What tools did your team use to construct the game?
As solo, first time using unity for actually posting a game and being my first real game jam, I used music credited in the game, and flaticon for most images. I also used ChatGPT to give me ideas, and used it to help.

Which art and audio did you / your team NOT create? (optional)
Basically none of them are mine

For a first game jam, it's surprisingly good ! I had a lot of fun playing your game !

Obviously, there are some things to improve, like the music (didn't loop) and sound effects (absent), or the fact that zombies can spawn on the player, but overall it's a good start.

There is also a bug when choosing where to place the wood or stone block : you can actually shoot zombies and being invincible.

I completely agree with quentin0133 and i think he said everything very well besides that. I would only highlight the fact that killing zombies is a bit pointless unfortunately, you can run in a direction and survive like that. Also one VERY important thing : set the "Is Kinematic" property of your rigidbody to true, because otherwise everything would move when the game is paused, and it also adds involontary movements to the enemies and to the player ...

That's a good work, keep it up !

Ok it's good for a first game jam, there are a lot of things to say, between the spawn of the zombies next to the player, some upgrades that don't work (the regeneration didn't seem to work) and as someone already said the background has no variation so it's hard to see when you move.

To go a little deeper, the camera is not very nice, it should ideally go a little further forward than the player when he moves, since you're on Unity, you can use the Cinemachine plugin which allows you to have a complete and simplified control of the camera, the zombies, in the theory that it does not spawn on the player's screen, are going to be too easy to dodge and besides that's a bit of a problem, either you give a reward for killing a zombie, or you create a special zombie that is threatening, for example a zombie that runs very fast or jumps, the player is going to be surprised for sure and for the wood / stone are not very useful.

And finally, let's finish on the good points because if this comment is long, it's because I really enjoyed your game, you did a good job to make the progression of the resources more and more difficult, the zombies are becoming more resistant, the concept of mixing a clicker / survival is a good idea and even if the game is sometimes incomplete, it's still fun!

Keep going, you'll get better for sure.

I like it! A fun game. But zombies reached me a lot of times and nothing happened! Shouldn't I be dead after that? And I think if you use left click for shooting is better than middle click. middle click is really hard ;)

Keep going! The game was really good!

Weird. Normally there is a game over screen. Thanks for playing!

This was fun to play!  Good concept and good execution.   Only issue I have is that the ground was a solid color.  It made it hard to tell that you were moving.  Adding some variety to the ground would have gone a long way.  Really good job though!

Thank you for the feedback! I will use this tip in future game jams!

the concept and mechanics of the game were really interesting, i love the three different currencies of clicks, wood, and stone, that way i always felt like i was able to do something! i lasted around seven minutes, and had a lot of fun!
