You have a gift for writing. The story flowed well and you maintained a consistent voice throughout. I enjoyed that each area had different encounters and it wasn’t repeated beats in every direction.

Only suggestion would be to give the player more choices for responses. After I clicked on the direction, it felt like a while until I got to make a decision again.

Overall really solid piece. I’d guess your theme is “let love find you,” or “there is more to life than love.” Was I close?

Thank you so much, and you were very close with your second theme!

I wish I had the time to add more to the story, but unfortunately it was tough trying to juggle the jam and my jobs. My main focus was to get the main story beats and choices out, and thankfully I did! Definitely will be adding to the game after the jam though, so thank you for your feedback!

Wow, that was really well written! I loved the fact that I learned things I didn't know about marine biology while experiencing philosophical dilemmas related to it. Thank you! It would have been even more immersive with a bit of sound design, but it's already very good.

Thank you so much! I would've loved to put some nice ambient underwater music or noises in there, but unfortunately I didn't have the time to find anything. That's definitely on the list of updates once the jam is done, though!

The story is fun and thoroughly written! Not sure my hero followed the advice of the elders though :D

Thank you for the experience!

And thank you for playing!!

Very well written! I have to say I have a real fascination for the abyss, so you got me there.

I liked how you personified the fish, linked scientific knowledge to your story telling while including some philosophical discussions on life, death and happiness, which caught me off guard!

Very cool take on the theme! Good work!

This game was superbly written! As someone who studied the deep sea in post-secondary, I really enjoyed the little scientific details. They were integral to the story without being distracting or hard to imagine. There was so much life and personality to this. Well done!

Thank you so much! It's nice to see a fellow deep-sea enthusiast, too! I always like to say, "If I weren't a writer, I would be a marine biologist studying sharks or the deep sea."

You undoubtedly have a flair for writing! The host of sea-creatures you created seemed to have very consistent personalities (somewhere I fondly remembered 'Finding Nemo') ; and on top of that, the content you have appears to be well-researched...making the perspectives of these colorful sea-creatures all the more convincing. I also deeply appreciate how the questions your story poses is so relevant to us, so human

Very well done!

Thank you so much! This was a personal, but fun game to design, and I'm glad the themes you took away were exactly what I wanted!

Talking about themes, the theme for this jam seems perfect for you - your passion for marine life shines through!

I'm very fortunate that I was home when the theme was announced, or else the boisterous "AW YEAH!!" I let out would've definitely raised some suspicions if I was outside!
