Oh boy, this is such a nice game. Controls are so responsive and music was the best part. I enjoyed playing it. Even I made a game based on pack of dogs, but yours is so much better. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Hail to the pixel art! Whoever the designer of this pixels is lucky to not being close to me otherwise i would have chained him to my basement rofl. Well done !

Developer

I take this as a huge compliment, alright?  haha

Top points for you! OMG what a beautiful game. and that song? I almost couldn't stop listening to it.

Great game!! The gameplay felt so smooth as well

I loved looking at the game, it was very aesthetically pleasing and interesting to walk around and explore. The movement was very fluid and easy to control. I feel this has one of the better movement I have seen from games in this jam. The game reminded me of old school exploration games. My little sister would have LOVED this as she is obsessed with wolves. And I thought the howl ability was adorable.

Developer

Hehe, thanks for the kind words! It's a bit rough around the edges. Most players seem to miss the platform that leads towards the top left part of the map, which is crucial. The map is designed like an X shape.

I love the music man! Awesome art and movement as well
Although I wasnt able to progress much, Ill try once again. A restart button would be helpful tho
Im still listening to the music

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you for showing game play! We didn't implement a Restart button, because there is No possibilities of getting stuck in game play, need to solve puzzle and find all 4 puppies. Thank you for Playing it.

TIP: if you hold the jump button you can jump higher, I say this because you missed a platform at the beginning when you tried to jump to it.

I got it! Here's the new video :) Loved the art, the power up ideas, really well implemented! And again I love the music a lot!

Developer(+1)

Nice! Thank you :)

Where is the theme??

Developer(+1)

The theme was pack. The game is about a wolf pack.

The Gameplay is about "packing your wolf pack" and go back to home.

Where isn't the theme??

Submitted(+1)

I would love for this to become a full game and not just a 2 day game. Absolutely stunning the art and music is. The game play also out of the world. It fit the theme and was very similar to other games but was also special and unique in its own way. Good Job, you earned a rare 5 stars on all themes!!!

Developer

Wow thank you so much! :)

Criminally underrated entry IMO. Some of the vistas in this game where really stunning, the music was beautiful, the controls where snappy and everything just works.

The progression was thoughtful, you placed the Powerups at a reasonable places and locked progression just the right way. I particularly loved how each area had a theme, if intentional or not. Howling in the Forest, Strength in the Mountains, Agility among the Treetops and Sunlight at the highest point!

Sadly those "Spirits" where quite small, they looked pretty funky and I wanted to see them better.

At first I was quite surprised by the fitting theme song playing during the Intro, it took me by surprise that it both works for the Intro and Gameplay so well, even though it's  just a Piano.

If I didn't see you submitting 1 min before Deadline, I'd say you have worked on this for more than 48 hours but damn. Great job if you did.

Btw. I read those comments about the Walljump and I had that problem the first time in my playthrough as well. It doesn't work as it does in other games. But honestly? In my second go it kinda clicked and felt rhythmic and right. And the animation on that was really satisfying.

Wished for some more sounds. I liked what I heard!

Developer

Wow thank you! I'm kind of a loss for words here haha.

I put it as a little coherency easter egg and thought nobody would notice, but dang, you found out about the Spirits hehe.GJ

This was a lot of fun to play! The wolf pixel sprites look fantastic and I liked all the interactions and music. Great job!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you, glad you liked it! :)

Danke sehr!

Loved the visuals and enjoyed the game play well done on making this in twenty four hours the sound design was amazing kinda wish i knew how t create good songs now, good game with an amazing overall tranquill theme

Developer

Thank you so much! As my main area is Sound design and the game having this much art for me to draw solo didn't grant me much time for Sound (I had about an Hour for all the Sound and Music you can hear) it really makes me happy to hear that!

Developer

Thank you very Much!, It was a 48 hour Jam so it was more than 24 hours, however it was still a lot to work we had to do in small amount of time. Thank you for your feedback, it is very much appreciated :).

(+1)

Incredible visuals, especially for a 48 hour jam! I loved the controls and exploring this quite large but varied level!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! The Level was a pain to design haha.

Submitted(+1)

Welp, the game is great!!! It have some amazing graphics, nice plot, grat music, and good-fels gameplay!!! More polish, more level's, and mauby some fighting, and  that could be a nice metroidvania!!! Great Job!!!

Developer

Thanks for the Feedback, glad you liked it!

I love me some Metroidvanias :D

whoh, woah. That's amazing. Finished the whole game. Amazing music and art, and I'm sure loads went on behind the scenes fellow developer :) Truly wonderful

Developer

Hehe, thanks for the Feedback, Michael here. Jeah Eduardo did a ton of work there to make it feel as good as it does.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you found the game amazing. Indeed it was a really hard work to do and a lot for a 48 Hour Jam.

Submitted(+1)

Amazing job, well done this game soo good with incredible pixel art. For me the walk jump not that hard you just need to know how it work then you can work jump very easy

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for the Feedback, it means a lot!  That's actually another comment I had from a friend,  the wall jump might be difficult the first time, but then becomes easy once you understand its mechanic. I am glad you liked it. Thank you!

Submitted (1 edit) (+2)

amazing game, good story, easy to understand. although the wall jump mechanic is quite difficult to use,  it took me a while to jump up the walls but other than that good game 9.5/10

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! and yes I'm sorry about the wall Jump, I was going to change the implementation, for it to not have the necessity of pressing key or joystick towards the wall you are sliding and instead have a little time that if you didn't jump you would have fall. It is something I definitely learned from this Jam. Thank you!

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Amazing game, love it! However I didn’t get the wall jump, so I’m stuck quite early in the game.

Also, I love the pixel-art font. May I ask which one you used for the game? :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Sad you didn't find the spirit that helped you with Wall Jump XD... About the font, its been one I've been Using for long time now, (Its free to use, but don't remember were the source came from), but its name is Bitty. Hope you find it. Again, Thank your for your feedback :)

Submitted(+2)

Found it, thank you so much :)

This game was amazing. I am a big fan of these kind of bite sized metroidvanias and this game pulled that off wonderfully. The art and the music and the intuitive gameplay come together to make an absolutely beautiful and serene few minutes. Honestly my only gripe here is that the game is a little quiet (maybe add some background ambience or something).

Besides that though, great job! This game is one of, if not the best out of the ones I've played for this jam. I feel like you could definitely make it a hit if you developed it further.

Developer

Thank you very Much for your feedback! I am glad you really liked the game. If we had a little more time there would definitely be more sounds and music.

Developer

Hey,  Michael here! I did the art and sound for the game.

As a huge Metroid fan, your comment made me smile a lot! :)

It was definitely a bit much but I'm glad we got as much done as we did!

I thought about Background ambience for sure but as you might imagine, I started working on all of Sound the very last hour, so there was only time for the absolute necessities and an emergency Piano (Which, at least to me, fits quite well in the game, surprisingly.)

Thanks a lot for your Feedback and kind words!

Submitted(+1)

This is an awesome game! Love the art style, music, gameplay. Almost everything. Well except on the platform part which can be really hard to notice because of the background. But overall this is a great game. Nice job man!

Developer

Thanks a lot for the feedback! And yes, some platforms were hard to see because we couldn't finish detailing the map for the Jam. Thank You!

Submitted(+2)

The art and the animations are really cool ! loved the music too, great work guys !

Submitted(+1)

I really liked the art and music, though I had some trouble progressing with the wall jump. Overall, great game.
