The concept is definitely interesting!

Thanks!

This is a really cool idea. I would have liked it if the movement codes were maybe 2 rather than 3 digits, because the time it takes to input them makes precise movements quite difficult. I enjoyed it though!

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I initially thought about using two-digit codes for everything, but I felt like the codes would then be too "close together" and it would be a lot easier to accidentally enter a code you hadn't discovered yet.

In retrospect, it wouldn't have been that hard to use two-digit codes for movement and such while still using three digits otherwise, and that probably would have done a lot to alleviate frustration with the movement. I didn't think of that beforehand, though. Oh well.

Thanks for playing and for your feedback!

I think you're too hard on yourself. The act of memorizing, finding, and solving puzzles with different codes and techniques is appealing and original. It kind of reminds me of The Witness in that it's also semi-open world and you have to find the techniques yourself, only the actions you can preform being limited to inputting codes is better suited for the Nokia, which makes it much better for the jam.

The big elephant in the room is movement. Actually moving is alright, the big problem is precise movement and pushing boxes, especially in small corridors.

However, the originality and polish kept my interest, so keep it up man!

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it despite the movement issues.

I think you're definitely being too hard on yourself. While there are some flaws in the concept, I'd rather see something with an original concept with flaws, than something that's been done before a million times that's 'perfect'. This does some really interesting things, and the controls worked fine for me playing on keyboard. The overall polish and graphics were good too!

Thank you! I definitely agree; that's why I do game jams in the first place, to come up with original ideas.

I just felt that playing it was a lot more frustrating than I originally intended.

However, I'm glad you enjoyed it! That makes one person at least, :)

Don't worry, this is a cool game! Inputting 3-digit codes just to go in a direction is tiring, though. I didn't go very far because of that. That doesn't mean I didn't have fun! The first moments after the discovery of the codes were great. -@h

Thanks!

Yeah that's pretty much exactly why I'm not exactly happy with this game, I realized too late that inputting codes for this kind of movement wasn't really "fun" long-term, but using regular inputs for movement sort of ruined the concept.

I think the codes would work better for a different kind of movement (or game entirely), and if I ever revisit the idea I'll start from there.

Thanks so much for playing and for your encouraging comment!

Yeah, I agree. It's still a cool base idea for sketching out something more complicated.
