The game controlled well and had decent graphics, though the hell section was too easy. After I got out of there, I only managed to get into the day skies for a bit, and when I did, the big background tiles were shaking around, revealing black lines on the screen.

Try making each setting (level) gradually ramp up in difficulty as you go and sufficiently jump it down a bit as the guy goes somewhere anew to introduce new mechanics where appropriate.

Moving left and right feels really nice, you did a good job of the second to second experience there! Reminds me a little bit of a game by Juicy Beast called Knightmare Tower in places which is cool!

Only feedback I have is maybe it'd be nice to know how many hits the player character can take before they have to try again either with some UI or an indicator on the player character itself. I also tried to get to a state/theme change in the environment but I couldn't get that far, I guess I need to git gud! :D Would love to see more parallax layers added in the foreground as a future update too perhaps.

Either way great game! :)

The art is really charming! I love them holding on to the rocket for dear life lol!

Having the different areas as you get higher is super cool! and being able to take a hit before falling was a great idea, maybe a little bit more space to see the obstacles would help as after playing for a while my eyes went funny from the background moving so much

Really fun game! It's a nice take on the theme that wasn't just space. I like the variety in the enemies and the different levels. The title art is cool too.

However, this game made me super dizzy! Not sure why, maybe the speed of the background or because the foreground is slower than the background, for parallax you usually want the background to be the slowest thing since it's furthest away, you see it for longer. I also felt like I couldn't blink or I'd miss something haha.

Great job overall!

Thanks for the great feedback! I'll be sure to investigate the parallax problem after the voting is over :)

Loved playing Heavenly Ascent, everything  felt smooth for me (no lag!) and the controls were perfectly fine. Thing I loved most was the design of the ship!

Thanks for the feedback! Nice to hear you didn't have any lag!
