This is more of a mindfreak of a game than anything else. Exploring the already explored, long (probably not long) after its been left to decay makes for a good premise, and a healthy amount of time passed between this and the first Banana Truck game that I was able to feel like I was in a familiar space, but not one that I had a strong memory of. It was cool to get my bearings, remember a neat board coming up, and then see its fate.
I'm glad the Wheelers are okay.
The breakdown effect scratches an ADOM itch for me, and I had to stop myself from making jokes about not having the trident of the red rooster.
The salad fingers of ZZT games.
So imagine my surprise, 1 minutes into the game I was forced to play an entirely different game, beat it, and come back. Then, this game abruptly ended almost immediately as it started.
I agree with RT-55J's take -- this game exists outside of the plane of oktrollber rubric ratings, it merits rating from a whole different dimension, a rating it completely crushed. I look forward to the third entry of this game, e.g., one that is just an empty room.
Thanks for making me depressed about something outside of current events.
Whoa, I don't think I've seen the World of Ruin treatment on an old ZZT game quite like this before! Depressing, interesting visual effects, especially like how it ends.
Banana Truck Pt. 1 would have been an excellent game to fit this Oktrollberfest rating rubric.
Unfortunately, Banana Truck Pt. 2 (while an enthralling experience in and of itself) is a serious game for scholarly intellectuals, and thus falls short in most of the rating categories provided here.
This is an example of what scholars refer to as "systemic oppression" or "The Tragedy of Ezektiel."
I followed the instructions and checked out Part 1 but couldn't fix any of my truck and eventually stopped playing—too trolled! Then I started this one up and think I got to the end (or one of them.) I was sad to see the ruins of Porclan. Lovely scenery, thought-provoking. Will i Learn which code-hacker made this one sometime??
Stupid: Not stupid, sad!
DSTC: It was surprised, but not sure what triggered my surprise. I got 2 different endings I think.
Funny: Not funny, sad!!
Animals: Sun-bleached tropical fish bones
