Well done, very impressive

Nice interpretation of the theme. Slickly implemented. I would have loved some fun sounds :)

I very much enjoyed this.

Things that appealed to were the genre, progression (easy to start more challenging to master), and the bonus rules (monochromatic!).

An added aspect that worked for me was the colors. I am colorblind and the set of colors you used didn't impede my ability to play the game. Well done.

This is a really nice take on the theme. I like this.

The idea is simple definitly well explained.

For me 4 “running vectors” were a bit too much, sometimes i felt like i could just pick whatever and there was still a card to play, because there were just so many options to be a possible “next”. Maybe removing the color as that is the most unintuitive one would be beneficial.

As for the “special events”, i think they were a bit ill-placed. Especially “time” and “no tacking back”, i felt like were bracking with the core game-feeling, which i think is “puzzle”.

You definitely deserve a bonus point for thinking of a great alternative take on the theme of "Run" that is completely legitimate. Coming up with an original idea for a card game is hard, and this has enough familiarity with pattern matching card games it means it's quick to get to grips with and start playing - however it definitely still feels like its own thing.

I actually might be tempted to move away from the low res aesthetic, not just because 2024 is the year of Balatro and as such, the comparisons would be inevitable - but your card designs lend themselves to very clean and precise vector images.

I also think that the card deck could be used for other card games (although they may not be as relevant to the theme of 'Run') so there is definitely a lot of scope for where you go from this starting point.
