I, honestly, enjoyed this far more than I originally was expecting to. gumbles pure capitalist mentality where my boss expects ME to spend MY tips to upgrade HIS equipment! I really should go work for Captain Sunglasses. At least his equipment is already upgraded!
I enjoyed the struggle of keeping those beach goers cool and defending against the crabs. I will be honest, though, not sure if I think I, as the player, should be burning up too. We DO have the fan, after all, and it works on the guests…
The hose also adds a lot of charm for my 5yo child brain… hehe… make it longer and shoot further… hehe cough… but I think either the hose’s water should refill between days, or a new mechanic should be added where I can collect water to refill it. The game was practically over when it broke on me. Maybe add a couple other hoses as well. While I loved that damn hose, the guests rarely seems to wander close to it. Maybe a new mechanic could be saving enough of cough my own tips cough to buy additional hoses!
Over all I thought this was a wonderful little entry! Excellent work!

Dude! Watched the stream, you can build new hoses, showers and sprinklers! It's there at the bottom 'Press SPACE to build'! Didn't realise people would play with just the one hose :( Thanks for playing and the feedback, will definitely make that clearer when I work on it after the jam!
After I posted my comment I read all of the other people who commented and, yeah, looks like I totally missed that I actually could build more hoses and things. Oops! :)

Something that a surprising number of games neglect. I liked how it was integrated into the introduction.

The shower was poorly drawn, and really clashed with the other assets.
Synopsis:
Very fun game, easily in the top ten games of the jam.
My only question is: why is my character half-naked? That seems very unprofessional, lol.

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it. I couldn't find an asset for the shower! So had to just be 2 blocks with a kind of window haha. The guy is actually half naked because I'd planned to have a character creator if time allowed, but time didn't allow sadly in the end, so I just left him like this! Cheers

It was going great until my hose blew up and when I built a new one it didn't have any of the length upgrades I paid for. Little did I know that upgrading refills its health bar. Very charming with some great writing and a fun gameplay loop. Great work!
Yeah I made it so that the more expensive upgrade (water pressure) applies to all hoses, and that the cheap length upgrade just to the one hose, otherwise it'd be too cheap to get full upgrade on all hoses. Thanks for playing, glad you liked it!
It's a great game! The idea is brilliant. Very nice gameplay loop. Earning tips by cooling the of ppl then build structures with the cash, cool! I also love the how you add a story with a cute nice cutscene in the beginning

Thanks for playing, glad you liked it! I tried playing your game, but the screen settings are off on my monitor :( I can just see the very right side of the menu buttons. No way of enlarging or scrolling. Would love to play it though when that's sorted! Cheers
That's frustrating. Thank you for letting me know. The issue has to do with UI compatibility, but submissions are now closed. Would you mind setting your monitor resolution to 1920x1080 and trying again?

Great game!! The gameplay was really smooth and intuitive, the dialogue at the start was rather funny, and overall an amazing job. Will definitely give 5 stars when voting opens
