Things I liked:

The Gameplay:

The platforming was really challenging but made sense, the simple controls made it easy to pick up but hard to master.

The Artstyle:

The assets you chose worked really well.

The Sound Design:

The sound effects were excellent, I especially like the music.

Things I disliked:

Difficulty:

Difficulty seemed quite high right off the bat, it wasn't impossible or too frustrating, but it did seem like a steep learning curve.

Synopsis:

Excellent game, very impressive for a month's work, well done.

Thanks for your entry. :)

nice game!

Overall really good! Only for hardcore gamers I guess.

yep seems like I definitely misjudged the difficulty. Maybe coz I got so used to speedrunning the game while developing that it all just comes naturally to me. Should've made it 5 lives instead of 3....

I really liked the game. The movement mechanics were great and the story is pretty interesting. The only bad things are that the game was a little too hard for me and I wish you didn't go back to the beginning whenever you die three time.

Developer

Hahahaha it's part of the challenge >:)) although in hindsight I would've given the player 5 lives instead of 3, due to the difficulty issues mentioned by a lot of people. Thanks for checking out my game though!

Fun but very unforgiving gameplay as I did die a lot.  Great job!

great concept you have there where you have to go through this difficult obstacles instead killing enemies maybe there will be enemies later

but the control  is so awkward and why you use Z,X,C for the action considering you also put A,S,D for the movement control

it's amazing you've done this with just two weeks while i need the whole month just to make one simple game

even though it's not my type of game but, well done !

oh you’re intended to use the arrow keys for movement then zxc for the other things. I may have accidentally forgot to disable asd in the Unity input manager so that’s why that works too, but it’s not the way you’re supposed to play it. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

PS: The main reason why I used obstacles instead of enemies is because enemies are harder to code HAHAHAHA

It still impressive that you to be able to think about all those obstacles

I couldn't quit the game until i finished it. Really engaging and challenging gameplay. Great level design which pushes you to make risk/reward choices. Good pacing, where you unlock a new skill in every level an use those skills on various obstacles. Clever storytelling with letters placed around the levels. Even touches like vanishing water drops are fantastic. I loved the ending cutscene btw. Did you draw&animated it yourself?
All in all it's truly a great game for a jam. Fantastic job!!

Developer(+1)

!!!! You noticed the vanishing water drops no wayyy. Yes I drew the ending cutscene myself, I’m so glad you liked that. Anyways thanks for playing my game and I’m glad you enjoyed!!

Like it! The story is very well written. I would personally have gone for another control scheme. Maybe space for (High) jump, with AWSD and maybe Left Shift for dash (I found myself having to look down at the keyboard too much). But generally a well made entry. Good job!

Haha yeah some other people have already mentioned the issue with the control schemes. I’ve personally only played a few platformers in my life so guess that’s an oversight on my part (which for some reason uses these controls, so I assumed it was normal). Thanks for pointing it out

The super dash is satisfying! The writing also adds a lot to the game's immersion. Nice!

Also, could you take a look at my submit. It would be nice if you can offer some feedback.

Thanks for checking out my game! I’ll be sure to check out your entry soon!

Fun game. I enjoyed the mechanics and how you incorporated the theme—well done!

Thanks for playing!!

Very Nice. Level 3 was tough, I almost quit. I suspect a different control scheme would make things easier, but then what would be the point. Good Job.

Developer(+1)

Ooo I made the game using the control scheme I was personally more used to -- maybe I should include an option to change keybinds next time. Thanks for playing the game!

The game is very hard but pretty fun . The movement is pretty good but I think more forgiving checkpoints could make the game a little bit better and also your art is good

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing my game! I'm glad you enjoyed the art (i hope you meant the ending scene, coz everything else other than that are all assets by other amazing people). I'll take your advice about the difficulty adjustments for any future games I make, balancing difficulty and level design isnt really my strong point I realized haha. Anyways glad you enjoyed!

I mean your art on instagram and your choice of art and the ending scene
