Description
I imagine in this game, you escape from your space-base in a scrolling shooter, before your base explodes. The first track is when it is functioning mostly correctly, and the systems are helping you with upgrades, the second track is the mad rush to the exit.
Some portions of the melody of the second track were inspired by giving a 3 year old the beep box screen on a tablet to poke randomly.

How does it fit the theme?
What are you running away from? This is a system alarm in a machine

Lol. This is very different from the other submissions in a refreshing way. Impressive how much you did with such simple sounds. Thanks for sharing!
I like what you have managed to do with what I imagine to be a relatively narrow range of sounds. I particularly liked "Alarm" which sounded like it was alerting everyone that something was going down! Clever and unique entry.
Charming album! I like that they’re cute but still tense.
I really like the sound world you built with the robotic voice and all the layered synths—it definitely got me ready for a space escape. Nice work!
Nice retro vibes - Alarm really sets the mood for chaos!
I like the controlled chaos in your arrangement! I think your sound gives off the appropriate level of anxiety and uncertainty for this theme. Nice submission!
Thanks! Right before the final draft I had to listen through it at 1/4 speed to check for too much dissonance, and fix it. It's not something I've had to do before.
Dissonance isn’t a bad thing when you want the listener/player to feel the uncertainty of the storyline. I think you did a really great job.
Love the slight jazziness in the second track!
Thanks! It's that rhythm that was generated by the 3 yr old. I was like, "Ok then. What is more erratic than a robot spontaneously creating jazz?"
I agree with ALPA, the track is a little busy at moments, but I also love layering melodies and looping pieces, and I think it stills sounds pretty great!
Thanks for giving it a listen! I was really going for a little chaotic and off-the-rails (at least in the second track)
You're tracks are very very nice ! I'd say your melodies are a bit busy, but its great. Congrats
