Description
Atmospheric and dreamy soundtrack to accompany a game where the player is called to the woods by an eerie voice, chased and forced to survive by retreating into the nooks and crannies of caves and finding pools in which to heal.

Tracks were written in Ableton using mostly Pianoteq hang drums and Iris 2 synths, underpinned by foley elements. Vocals are sung by Sodie.

Message from the artist:
Thanks for listening!

Theme:

Runaway
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
Image used to inspire the atmosphere, the runaway theme is represented by wandering away from what is known and being driven deeper into foreign places by the tempting but dangerous things that call.

Beautiful spatial sound. Love the vocal sounds in Siren's theme. It invokes exactly what its title suggests. I really enjoy all the chittering foley sounds in this.

Siren's Chase continues this excellent sound. Love the crinkly sounds all around. Unexpected but very welcome drum and bass beat. Love the little microchops of amen break I hear every now and then. Or at least I think it's Amen break. Nice use of that steel-drum-esque sound too. Very atmospheric sounding mix. Love this one.

Healing Pool seems like it would be a nice moment of respite in the game. Great work again.

Love that bassy pad in Hiding Cave. Also quite like how the arp speeds up to doublespeed every now and then.

My favourite from this soundtrack is probably Siren's Chase, but the whole soundtrack was excellent throughout. Just love the pacing in that particular one..

Nice use of nature sounds, sets a great atmosphere. I like how the siren theme is recurring in other tracks, very memorable. Healing Pool is my favorite. Truly magical. Very well finished soundtrack, I would love to hear this in a RPG. Thanks for sharing!

Siren’s Chase! *chef’s kiss*

The first track - "Siren's Theme'" is hauntingly beautiful and really well put together, with the Siren's call appearing throughout the soundtrack tying it all together. The "Siren's Chase" was also neatly done with the drum-beat adding intensity but not overreaching (such as having repeated orchestral stabs for emphasis in what is starting to feel a little clichéd in many tracks I've listened to). A really subdued and enjoyable listen, thank you!

Really clean mix and composition, great job on that. Also, nice consistency between tracks as others have mentioned. I did expect a beat to occur while listening to the first song, and then the second song came and bang. ;) Use of vocals definitely fits the siren thing you have going. I'm not quite sure I truly felt the intensity of the actual chase though. A little  escalation might've helped. Fantastic job!

The consistency between the sound of the tracks is great for a game ost! I think some slight more evolution within the tracks over time would be nice.

Love how the tracks are linked to each other with the vocals, especially the first two. Very nice vibes!

Nice job! I loved the vocals, and you did a great job with the foley and percussion sounds!
