Description
Made a boss track for a game i imagined to be a bit like "Hat In Time", where the player collects fallen stars from levels to make a wish and at the end of the level there is a boss who you must defeat to get the star/clear the level.

I made 3 other tracks during the jam, but decided to just submit this one, since i think i won't have time to finish the other tracks.

Software/Plugins used:
Cubase Artist as DAW
Arturia V Collection for Hammond, Faux CP-80 and Mellotron sounds.
Amplesound Hellrazer for guitar.
IK - Multimedia's free versions of the MODO Bass and MODO Drums plugins (Really like these, especially the bass)

Message from the artist:
Thanks for listening! All critique and other stuff is very much welcomed.

Theme:

Wish upon a star
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
I used the theme's as a basis for the fictional game setting and i also used the image of the stars falling for the descending parts in the boss track

I love the driving sections at 0:47 and 3:01! The addition of the choirs behind the guitar is an assurance for an epic sounding boss track. I wish that I could have heard your other tracks as well! This was definitely a great one, though. Thank you for sharing!

Great job! I loved the B section, great harmonic progression throughout.

Those guitar sections are glorious! Very nice chord progressions, too. Very unique vibe in this submission, definitely action packed. I could see this in a fantasy adventure game. Nice job!

Awesome! That guitar and those choirs really nail the Japanese/Final Fantasy vibes. It's a shame you couldn't finish the other tracks in time - I hope you finish them and publish them anyway.

Good entry!

Nice work!  I liked the pacing and the feeling of ebb and flow that your piece had, all the different sections felt like they were progressing the song really well.

Great job! Those guitars were kickin.  The boss music definitely evoked what I would imagine to be a pretty awesome boss fight if the game were real.

Good choices for instrumentation make this a driving track that would befit a hectic boss battle. Cool entry.

Love this! Gives me Final Fantasy boss theme vibes from the intro section. Love those old school Mellotron synths that come in later, I love the Arturia collection. Those guitars are cool. Great work!

Glad you liked it! Been using the Arturia collection for a long time (first vst i bought pretty much), still using the old version 6 of the V Collection. I don't know if you have it already but they have a standalone plugin version of the ms-20 filter available for free atm. Arturia - Filter MS-20 - Filter MS-20

Didn't know about it, thanks for the heads up. I'll go grab it now!
