Description
The soundtrack I created takes a more ambient, surreal approach alongside some ominous/horror elements. Each of the tracks continues the story forward. A lonely traveler searching for what's in front of them.

In the first track, the main character encounters the gentle light of the moon. Drifting through the never-ending waters towards the unknown.

I imagine the second track to be the title screen or main theme for the game. The main encounters the moon, yet again, on a clear starry night while adrift in the waters. As the main begins to dance among the stars and alongside the moon. As it gracefully comes to an end the clouds begin to cover up the moon leading into the third track.

In the third track, the ocean shifts its colors and mood as it brings us closer to the darkness of the unknown.

The fourth track follows the third but introduces a more ominous and creepy feel. The main character drifts deeper into the darkness. And as he begins to become engulfed in the darkness, the feeling that something is lurking underneath the once-calm sea begins to occupy their every thought.

The fifth track finally brings us to the aftermath of the encounter. The ship, now in pieces, drifts out into the clearing clouds. The moon notices the tragedy of the boat and weeps for the lost souls that the sea has claimed once again.

Theme:

Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
This soundtrack is very fitting for the theme because it becomes a reflection of the imagine. It tells the story of this lonely traveler crossing the seas searching for what before them. As the moon guides their way.

No matter where the wind will take you, I will be there to guide the way.
You can find me where the sea pours into the stars. You'll get there someday.
I'll crash through the darkness By The Milk-light of Moon.

I thought the mixing on this was great and really enjoyed the panning on the plucked strings and the overall atmosphere you created!

This is great!  I'm a big fan of that tape noise/record scratch sort of noise that's in the background throughout all of these, as you can tell that it kind of sounds like both of those things, but you can't actually pick out what specifically it is.  It's such a phenomenal detail for this sort of ambient horror soundtrack (which, by the way, is a super interesting direction to take this particular theme).  Overall, your sound design and the meandering progression through the songs make a properly unsettling experience that I absolutely adore.  Great work!

Nice work! The plucks that are panning back and forth in moonlight are a really nice touch. Good Cohesion throughout as well, each track feels natural and fits together to tell your story. This is a wonderful surreal and ambient OST thank you!

The ambience of these pieces paints really clear areas in which they describe. I really like how you took a darker approach to this theme and as the game progress, it gets creepier and darker. I think Red Whitecaps is my favorite since that is where the emotional transition is introduced. Excellent work on this submission and thank you for sharing!

This was a really well done ambient soundtrack! Great job! My favorite is probably Something Beneath the Waves. I could easily see this in a video game!

I like the calm atmosphere. When the Sea Pours into the stars is my favorite. Magical feel!

Love the tension the fourth track brings. Someone tell these poor soul what's coming after them! haha

I definitely enjoyed the second track. Captured being under the night sky quite well. For some reason I kept expecting singular notes from a piano to play over the ambient sounds and plucked string instrument.

Nice job!

thank you for listening to my project. means a lot! glad you liked the fourth track, it's one of my favorites for sure. I was very much debating adding some piano notes/melodies over the entire project but it turned out being a ominous horn instead, which i think adds a little bit more of a creepy feel to the project. again thanks for listening :)

This has a mesmerizing power... It slowly grew on me. Like the darkness getting around our hero.

The mixing mastering you did played a lot, I guess. There is a lot of well intricated and designed sounds from the distant crackling to sometimes what seemed to be violins melting in the audio space with others ambiant sounds.

It is a very well crafted submission and I really enjoyed the experience. I definitely was in that boat at some point!

Thanks for posting this wonderful job!
