Theme:

Wish upon a star
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
All of the tracks are intended to have the imagery of being on or near the ocean. Crash sounds are used to try and replicate the sounds of waves crashing against a boat or the shore.

The "Wish upon a star" prompt is used for the main idea of the game, but also in the tracks (Promise) and (Broken). The first three notes were intended to sound like stars (or wishes) falling.

This was great!  I love how you used crash cymbals emulate that sound of crashing waves - it works flawlessly in this 8-bit context.  I also like your consistency with the theme, the songs felt connected beyond just pure vibes, something I'm always happy to see.

Wish: In addition to the crashing waves sound, the use of the dorian harmony works well to create a mental image of sailing on the ocean. I love the main A section with all the instruments and I wanted it to go longer and grow from there. But by stopping abruptly, you have increased the replayability of this track and made me listen to it about 5 times in a row just to hear that small section again each time!

Beach: This is a nice and happy tune that fits a home town theme well. It makes me think of the various Pokemon town themes - and I think it would fit in nicely with many of those masterpieces. I wonder if subtle use of percussion/noise channel would help add a little extra pep and joyfulness to this track?

Promise: The high echoed melody definitely does have a star-like quality to it. This is a very delicate sounding piece that makes me wonder the reasons why the main character turned antagonistic? The melody is beautiful but has sad undertones to it so I think this helps tell your story well.

Broken: I really like the increased intensity in this track and can imagine it feeling very emotionally charged with the two once-friends now having to battle each other. These are some quality 8-bit tracks- all four of them. Great work and thank you for sharing!

Nice work making interesting music with a limited sound palette of 8 bits.  I really like that crash sound which really illustrates the crashing waves. Very solid melodies and effective harmonies. Good job!
