Description
Composed and produced using Logic Pro X.
Genre: Narrative, story driven, ambient, electronic, orchestral
Each track represents a part of the characters journey. We begin with Rising Tide and then into the ominous 'Descent' where our character has been swept away. She then must fight to survive in 'Fighting for Breath' but emerges stronger than ever in 'Surfacing'. Through perseverance she manages to find her way home in 'Home in Sight' and is safely back to her family in 'Grandmother's Embrace'.

As well as the cover art, I took inspiration from the book 'Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow' by Gabrielle Zevin, in which the main characters develop a fictional game called 'Ichigo'. It's a narrative driven game which tells the story of a young girl trying to find her way home after being washed out to sea and separated from her family after a tsunami.

Ambient, electronic and orchestral elements bring to life the situations our character finds herself within, charting a path from the 'Rising Tide' through various dangers and tensions before finding her way home into her 'Grandmother's Embrace'.

Theme

Inside my world
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
My previous inspiration lines up nicely with the cover art which depicts a young girl, holding the hands of a figure seemingly made of bubbles. The title 'Inside My World' gives the impression that this is within the girl's imagination and whilst this seems to be a comforting memory of a loved one, it also provides her with the strength to keep going through the darkest parts of her journey during the game.

You mix electronic and acoustic sounds together in a very seamless way, which makes for a cool hybrid ambience. Very unique!

Even if I hadn't seen your SoundCloud profile picture, I would have guessed that you were a percussionist from your compositional style 😄which gives a very distinctive character to your work and results in lovely compositions.

One of my favorite jam soundtracks!

Really nice compositions! I love the story behind each. The research in rythmic parts is also really fun to listen to!

A fantastic story told through music. When you carried the motif into Grandmother's Embrace, I melted! Creative use of percussion and the pulsing synth bass felt heavy without killing the ears. Well done!
