Description
Process wise, I started with the piano melody and filled in with voice where I thought necessary. I wanted to use this Jam as an excuse to work on my vocal recording and mixing.
Stylistically, it's very much inspired by Ravel and other impressionist music.
I think of this piece as being the ending, especially with the bookended melody that would be a key part of any full OST.
It's written and mixed in Cubase.
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
The prompts absolutely screamed "The tension between memory and dream, and how they become the same as we age," so I knew it had to be in Dorian. I hope the idea of aged and worn youth shows through.

Succeeds in creating a melancholy mood, the vocals give it a folk feel. Nice piece.
wow, i really love this
amazing job! ^_^
One of the most original! Props!
Heh... The first soundtrack I listen to this day - and it pleasantly surprised me! Cool job with the voices. This composition was... cute? Creative idea for a theme of ending something. I loved it!!!
P.S. Lol, I love that trill, which sounds a bit like the angry breathing of a wild animal
This is such an interesting work. The different kind of singing styles was a smart decision. They provide several colors and at the same time keep the listener's interest with no need to rush the pacing.
Well done!!
I liked the "OOhs" They fit quite well.
Always love to see people repping Ravel!
The piano was great, and Dorian was a good choice. For me, don't know if the higher more nasal vocal line fit too well. Your other singing was great though. I also think more robust piano writing would make this piece even better.
Great job with how varied the vocal performance is!
The vocals really lift this piece and make it something special! As a vocalist myself, I would have loved to have heard some lyrics with the vocals, though the timbre effects from the different "oh"s and "nyah"s were a very interesting addition.
Interesting proposition with the vocals! It directly add something to have human voices!
Oh, interesting! The initial vocal line was a surprise, but it fit. Then you took it a step further again, and I have to say that you've done a good job at really getting that to 'belong'. The supporting instrumentation is pretty good - never too obtrusive, sitting comfortably in the background. One of the more interesting submissions I've seen honestly, good work!
