Description
The theme's image and provided title immediately pointed my mind towards a JRPG-esque soundtrack. Initial versions of the tracks were predominately synth-based with programmed drums, but something felt missing. I played around with implementing a few (and eventually a lot of) acoustic elements and I felt like I had finally found a sound palate that I really liked. I wish I had more free time to create more tracks because it was really fun contrasting these acoustic elements with dreamy and haunting synths! And Ableton!!!

I enjoy how organic these pieces sound. "The Old World" in particular is great, especially when that bass synth comes in.

Really fun take! It starts out with similar folksy vibes to some of the other entries but the inclusion of more Celtic folk musical ideas was really fresh. Both tracks had really distinct vibes but I could hear the connection between them with some of the reused motifs and instruments. Great work!

I really liked the percussion in the title track!

Very unique sound. Kind of feels like a if Radiohead were a bit folk-y.

Hearing the acoustic instrumentals like that violin really makes me wish I still had my cello to record music with. Fantastic job!

Were most of the featured instruments acoustic? That was really cool.
