Description
This submission is a synth-based, video game soundtrack, similar to something like the soundtrack from Celeste.

The game I imagined for this competition is a 2d platformer based on my artist name "The Firefly Library."

A librarian begins a new job at the Firefly Library but shortly after, discovers the Library has secrets. During a storm night, when the power goes out, the librarian gets sucked into a mysterious, glowing book. The librarian must use powers granted to them by the fiction they are trapped in, and find their way back to home.

I used Logic X Pro, and began my composition by coming up with something that sounded mysterious, which ended up becoming the basis for "Pulled In." I utilized similar instruments and musical techniques throughout, to make a cohesive, and enjoyable sountdrack!

Please enjoy!!!

Theme:

Two Worlds
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
The soundtrack is for a game based on being pulled into a different world. The music emotionally changes through the journey, to emphasize the switch.

This was wonderful to listen to. The synth sounds are just joyous and the arrangements are so well done, and every piece fit its title perfectly. It has a really strong sense of story to it. I love it, incredible work!

Thank you!! I’ve been experimenting with different synths and synth presets recently, so I had a few in mind when I started. Most of them are from the free Vital synth VST or the Teletone Scarbo VST

I love how you were able to compose a complete story, something which many were not able to do within the 48 hours. Well done!

Thanks! I wanted to challenge myself to make a cohesive set of songs, and I feel like it turned out pretty well!

Definitely fits the Celeste vibe. Stormy Night, and Lights Out going intro Pulled in are definitely highlights. Great Job!

Thanks! I wish I had more time to make the transitions more seamless, but I’m happy you liked it!

The tracks are nicely wrapped together
Well done!

Thanks!! Escaping the book was probably the one (excluding Lights off)  that took the least time and effort, so I’m glad you enjoyed it!
