Description
Concept:
A pixel art story driven RPG adventure that takes you from normal life along a daunting journey through the depths of your reality. There isn't any other choice, your world distorts as it twists through unexpected paths.

At times fear creaps in but it's in these dark times that a glimmer of hope and excitement can be found, driving you onwards.

Artist comment:
It was created entirely on a Synthstrom Deluge synth using individual drum samples and midi notes for the inbuilt synthesizer.

Theme:

Two Worlds

How does it fit the theme?
At times in life the world around you can be turned upside down and fear, sadness and pain can overwhelm. At these times you need keep an eye out for a distant glimmer to drive you on.
From a place of uncertainty I wanted to try and create a journey in and out of the mixed feelings that come when the world you are used to and the unknown one ahead collide.

I have no idea what you are doing, but watching you do it is definitely fascinating!

Wow! Your soundtrack is great, your performance is solid, and it's impressive to watch. Liked it!

This one gets full creativity points! Didnt know what was going on visually but enjoyed watching regardless. The 3rd track is such a calm vibe!

Oh this was so cool! I really dug the sounds you captured, and you had such a great sense of layering and texture. Thank you for your work!

I am so impressed just by the fact that you performed it, but the music was also so well done! The switches in emotion and composition that happen at almost 3 minutes and just at 4:40 were really well done,  and really created a the theme of uncertainty you mentioned. Great job!

Thanks very much!
Not all the transitions are perfect but I'm particularly happy with the one at 4:40 :)

This was awesome, I really enjoyed listening. The Deluge is a bit of gear that I haven't tried yet, but damn it looks fun. Always love watching other hardware jams.

This is hands down the most outlandish music gadget I have ever seen. Looks like the controls of a flying saucer, by which I mean I have no clue how it works. Do you preprogram the different "lanes" and then trigger them on the fly?

In any case. 100 points for creativity. This is a great way to produce some spacey ambience!

Thanks for watching!
Yeah, each line is a track of drums or synth that I programmed and then I triggered them and changed between tracks while playing rather than sequencing the full composition out.

Wow! That's such a cool way to make a track! I can tell a lot of effort went into not just the composition itself, but the performance of it! I love the synth feel too, and how it flows from one track to another, and the concept is such an interesting and unique take on the theme! Super cool!

Developer

Thanks very much!
It took a few tries to perform it. I haven't really finished many tracks before so it was a lot of fun  and very satisfying to get something done in the short jam timeframe :)
