Description
This EP's tracks illustrate a person's journey in a lite, unique platforming game similar to "Tower Of Heaven", starting to crawl their way out of hell, and trek for their live all the way up to heaven where they can finally rest.

I used a lot of 8-bit instruments, FM synths, and a handful of SNES samples to make this Electronic/Chiptune EP. Made in FL Studio 12.

Artist comment:
You like "flashygoodness"? So do I!
I hope you like the album! Please tell me what you think!

Theme:

Two Worlds
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
I really loved the bright and vast vibe of the image, but the red edit of it gave me an idea for the EP.
I used the more grungy, heavy 8-bit instruments in the first 2 tracks to symbolize the depth and despair of HELL, then used more opposing, deeper, airier 16-samples and instruments to symbolize the journey and atmosphere of HEAVEN.
The "Two Worlds" theme is illustrated throughout the album, as it showcases the person's journey from a pessimistic sounding Hell and a more uplifting and soothing journey to Heaven.

Impeccable vibes in Styxian Flight! And Obtain Heaven gave me chills! Love the use of the chrono trigger sounds (I think thats what it is) among others (Megaman included). This is a superb OST, bravo.

OK Obtain Heaven absolutely slaps, it seriously does feel like that LAST PUSH to the finale, really hammers home the gameplay in my mind. You just need to climb a little further, don't look back and don't give up!! And then the abrupt-ish halt (I say ish because that little change in tempo at 2:33 was a SUPERB way to bring the energy down) to a peaceful resting place. Just *chef's kiss*. I've listened to a couple of your previous tracks now, and the quality has been a consistent 100. Really inspires me to up my music game ( and start takin' notes omg), so fr thank you.

Fr thank YOU! I really wanted to push that energy throughout the whole EP so that Obtain Heaven would be a great payoff, and I'm glad it worked out. Super glad you're inspired by this and my other stuff!

(also I really loved your "Item GET!" and "Notsureyet" songs! Keep up the good work and take care!)

It's a high quality ost with various emotions. Well done !

This is a really cool collection of songs! Enjoyed the "upper levels" a bit more than the first two songs as the instruments sounded a bit too sharp for my taste, but I guess it makes sense for hell to sound like that :)

Really good tracks! Love those chiptunes compositions

The last track strongly reminds me of the lava/fire world in Undertale ^^

I really like the idea of using the crunchy 8-bit sounds for the lower levels and adding more sound clarity and flavors as we ascend through the OST.

Track 1: At first this track presents itself in simplicity, but on repeat listens I appreciate intricacies that add so much to the listening experience. The subtle chord changes that keep the listener on edge, the minor 2nd clashes of the melody with the harmony, and the expression of the buzzing drone are some of my favorites.

Track 2: I enjoy that the ideas from the title track are expanded here. Your selection of lead instruments is impeccable and your sound palette works very well. I recognize some of the synths from your OST “Wishmaster” and I am a big fan of how you are able to craft such performance-quality melodies.

Track 3: I love the chords you use in this track. They feel ambient and cyclic like the souls that are doomed to forever reside in the river Styx. This sounds like a lot of the best Donkey Kong Country music and is very well done.

Track 4: The driving rhythm section juxtaposed with the soaring chords gives the “flashy goodness” vibes you describe! This track is also organized very well and tells a coherent story through the rises and falls in energy. This is a great cap to the ascension story line!

Track 5: I’m a fan of the ambience of this track. The chord extensions of the cycling major chords and the inability to reach the tonic when it feels so close is such a great way to achieve the “beyond bliss” feeling. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed your submission and, as always, I am impressed with your compositions, especially given how much you were able to complete in only 48 hours. Thank you for sharing!

Wow, thanks for the big feedback! I love seeing people pick at the intricate details and things I put into my songs, it really means a lot. I think this is my favorite thing I've made so far, so I'm glad you enjoyed it, too!

Yeah!!! The bassline in track 2 and the synth solo in track 4 are real highlights for me. You had me with the title track though, so perfect. Can't think of any real critiques, so stoked on this.
