Omg chiptoon. Nice job creating the bass and incorporating reversed notes.

Really great basslines here, great work.

WOW! The bass lines are super groovy and the midi guitar transition was pretty cool. I'd say this is a pretty hip track!

Developer(+1)

Thanks. The guitar and bass were not midi but real instruments I recorded.😅

Oh damn, I knew the bass was real but didn't expect the guitar.

Developer

Part of the synths also came from my Reface CS but the rest was all midi and VST

Cool track, I like the odd rythmic time signature, makes it hard to play backward too, good job.

Developer

Thank you. The whole song is still 4/4. The down beat on the drums was off-set to get it to be perfectly symmetrical.

I really liked this! I do wish there was a bit more substance in some of the parts, because I liked it so much, but overall it was really great! Good job!!

The chipbass line sounds fantastic - I would've loved to have heard how the chords sounded with a chip arp and kept that vibe going, it felt a touch out of place perhaps from that transition?

+1 for loving that bass near the center of the track too, really neat sound with a good inverse feeling vibe.  Nice!

Near the center when that new bass instrument came in was super nice!

I also just love the style of the track as a whole it is very great to listen to!

Really good work!

Thanks. That was a Bass lol. I just DI'd it and ran through my standard set of plugins.

Mmm, I like the chip tune bass line - that is my fav part! And the cover art is very cool, did you make it yourself? All in all, w ell packaged and it works nicely, reversed too! Personally I would like to hear some more elements in some parts for more variety, but that also depends on the gameplay of course!

I threw it together in Aesprite. It took maybe like 5 minutes at most I think. It's nothing special. Also you are right the song certainly needed more to it but I was worried about getting carried away and adding too much fluff. I most definitely could have however and thank you for pointing it out. In the end it kind of reminded me of playing Halo CE's T&R as a kid. I think it would work well in something like that.

Really REALLY nice. You worked very fluently with the challenge, and without context most people probably wouldn't realize there was such a difficult challenge behind the scenes, it just flows without question! Way to keep it interesting too, I loved the different segments.
