Explain your hypothetical game concept & how you interpreted the theme!
The hero's journey along the path of the monomyth. A classic RPG setting where the hero encounters downs and ups. But always wins in the end.
What genre is your soundtrack?
Orchestral, classical, traditional
Anything else you'd like to add?
I set myself the goal of writing entirely in whole-tone. And I ran into a problem - it's not that easy, as it turns out. It's very difficult to write something heroic (at least for me, in my lack of understanding of musical theory). It always turned out to be minor or mystical motifs.

I love the commitment to whole tone. I think you got the whole tone heroic stuff down here. Sometimes it’s just the crescendo into big instrumentation and you get a unique heroic sound because you’re using whole tone and hardly anyone else is.
in general, not in this contest hehe
Thank you for taking the time to listen!
Well done sticking to the whole tone for the entire piece, and creating something with levity! My efforts always ending up darker. Sticking mostly to the first tetra chord worked in your favour, though it does feel like this piece is mostly Lydian, as opposed to really bringing out the essence of whole tone scale. Regardless it's a beautfiul piece and well done to pushing through with the challenge!!!
Thanks for listening! You're absolutely right.
The tiny distinguishing feature is the G# in the melody (C Lydian/Whole-Tone). I completely avoided the A#, which I think collapses the heroic sound and absolutely changes the atmosphere.
Cute, inspiring, and optimistic...
I'd definitely like to hear it in slime rancher (I love that game, heh)
Good job!
I appreciate it!
Haha, I didn't think of that combination!
Very impressed that you wrote the whole thing in whole tone scale! The simplicity of it worked really well for the piece. Bravo
All I would suggest is maybe a second half that changes it up a bit. add like percussion or something
Thank you!
Yeah! You're right, I should have worked on the progression and arrangement so it didn't seem repetitive.
You wrote the whole thing in the whole tone scale!? Impressive.
Thanks for listening!
