Very cool sounding track! The delay on the piano sounds so cool! Very well mixed, Very good Orchestration, Just all around great piece!
thanks! the delay was a real challenge to get right
The syncopated section in the second half is very elegant but also creates an unsteadiness that works very well with your interpretation. I enjoy the way you explore different ideas in a single piece while maintaining a great sense of wholeness
Very cool track with an ominous vibe. Jazzy and waltzy at times.
I'm glad the ominousness showed through!
I like the idea of different instruments being used to represent either the sky and sea, it works very well ! I love the first part, with instruments dialogging with each other. The white noise for the waves is also a great idea ! Nice take on the theme, congrats !
Thank you! i got the white noise idea from Carmine!
The delay on the piano is so pretty! Can I ask what you were doing to the white noise to emulate the waves like that? Sounds like some EQ sweeping?
Thank you! You're exactly right i used a randomizer on the eq sweep for the windiness and an LFO on the VCA of the white noise for the waves. I also have a couple filters with randomizers to cut out some sharpness and rumble while also making it more dynamic. Honestly i got the whole idea from Carmine who posted "in waves + torn (OSTs)".
