Explain your hypothetical game concept & how you interpreted the theme!
I think of this as a short story told from two perspectives. Vaguely, the story is about a marine photographer who observes a contrast between the beautiful sky and a sea full of plastic. I hope the listener is inspired to derive their own, more detailed story as they listen!

I used a ton of wacky sound sources to make something unique within the constraints on instrumentation (electronic devices, birds, speedcubes...).

What genre is your soundtrack?
Abrasive/Ambient Electronic,

What was your ensemble?
List is complex and contains spoilers, please see project page for ensemble.

Anything else you'd like to add?
Please take a look at the project page for more insights! I had so much fun making this, thank you for listening! And thanks to Resident // Cryptid for hosting!

Such an Interesting concept! I’m not a huge fan of super grungy, abrasive music like this, but it’s a really interesting concept, I love the instrumentation, the Drums and Bass give a kind of scary kinda feel to it.

Nicely done!

Thanks for the feedback!

These are both so neat! The focus on constantly introducing new sounds and textures had me hooked the whole way through. The industrial section with the deep water gurgling was my absolute favorite and I LOVE that bass. I'm particularly inspired by how confidently you employ silence in your arrangements!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you found the wacky sounds engaging!

Cool atmosphere you created here, the bass and drums are pretty scary (in a good way :D).  I feel like the underwater sounds muddied the drum and bass part a little bit, maybe the dynamics could be adjusted? But apart from that, certainly an entry that stands out in terms of texture and storytelling, great job!

Developer

Thanks much for the feedback! Glad you thought the bass and drums were scary, that's what I was going for!

That's awesome ! I love the contrasts you used, and combined with all the sound design effects, it really feels you're telling a story. Great ideas, well executed, well done !

These are so good! I love how you can really hear a story in them, and they would definitely add to a game's atmosphere.
