Thanks so much! I tried my best to automate the saxophone’s expression and modulation(vibrato) to sound somewhat realistic, I’m happy that that came through and that it’s the most prominent good part of the track!

I love this so much! It’s so calm and atmospheric, the polar opposite of what I’d expect from an arcade game’s soundtrack! I loved the Horn taking the melody, Horns don’t get the melody enough imo The Triangle too is pretty nice and adds quite a bit to the piece

The only thing I have to really critique is that there’s a little too much reverb in the clarinet compared to the horn(or not enough reverb on the horn I guess?), it feels a tiny bit out of place when the horn comes in. Otherwise, it’s fantastic!

Nice Job

Loved the Drums here! I’ve never heard Orchestral Rock before, so this was a new listen for me! Nice work!

This is super nice!! I love how happy and fun it sounds!! I got major Yoko Shimomura vibes from this, it’d 100% fit in an old school style JRPG!

Very nicely done!

Such an Interesting concept! I’m not a huge fan of super grungy, abrasive music like this, but it’s a really interesting concept, I love the instrumentation, the Drums and Bass give a kind of scary kinda feel to it.

Nicely done!

Holy crap

First off, incredible sound design! Music driven by sound design always blows my mind, and this is no exception! I think both tracks really fit the theme super well.

Nicely done!

Thanks!

Thanks so much!

Thanks! This track was my 2nd time using a build up like that, the first one being the first track of my OST Composing Jam #7 entry. I will note the Shaker note for next time I do a track in this style

Thanks so much!

Very cool sounding track! The delay on the piano sounds so cool! Very well mixed, Very good Orchestration, Just all around great piece!

glad you enjoyed it!

thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it

thanks so much!!!

(1 edit)

thanks so much!! I’m currently trying to focus on the mixing aspect itself, so the overal mix, as well as volume from track to track will be fixed after the jam when I finish this OST

Pretty solid soundtrack! not sure what the game idea is, or how it fits the theme. neither the rating page, nor the project page itself talks about it, only describes tracks and track style. but everything else is pretty solid

I really liked all of this!! the use of the same leitmotif in every track, but utilizing different genres is a genius move! really fitting for the game idea. overall really nice soundtrack. I really liked neon city jam the most out of the 3, but all 3 are just top notch.

if I had to suggest something, anything, it’d probably be that the fadeout in neon city jam is a little too long. I’d shorten that fade trail if I were you.

oh, thanks so much! I will admit I could have done better panning. I just used the default that came with EastWest Symphonic Orchestra’s Close Mics. thanks for the suggestion though! I might try that panning style in a future track of mine ^^

aww, thanks so much!

that’s completely understandable! I didn’t mean anything bad by that, so sorry if it came across that way ><

yet another great entry!! this one specifically reminded me of A hat in time a little bit, as well as celeste. really nice work! the mixing is a little off in places, but otherwise it’s a really solid track!

this is so nice! the first track gives me a Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword vibe, and the rest of the sound track is very Yoko Shimomura-esque. reminds me of Legend of Mana a bit, mixed with some of the later Final Fantasy Games composed by Nobuo Uematsu. each progression is amazing, the melodies are super nostalgic sounding, and just overall is an amazing entry!

love it! got a huge studio ghibli vibe from the first track. each progression is nice. mixing could be a little better, but that’s just being nitpicky at this point.

one issue I had with this one though is the panning in the first track. it’s a little akward. otherwise, nice work! I like it a lot

This is super nice! I can tell that you listened to a lot of Donkey Kong Country and Sonic Superstars, and formed a soundtrack around it. mix is super clean too. only issue I have with it is that 2 of the tracks are in mp3, and 2 are in wav format. that’s a little inconsistent

I like this a lot! I can imagine this being used in an indie game! very creative uses of the limited sounds in your soundset too! chiptune is hard to get right, and I think you nailed it

very cute ost! it feels pretty solid. I will note that the instruments sound a little boring, and the mixing in some tracks is kind of off, but otherwise I liked it a lot! I feel like you conveyed the story you were trying to really well!

Thank you for the kind words!

Thanks so much!

I like this a lot! sounds very RPG-like, and reminds me of something you’d hear in the 16-bit era of RPGs, like from Chrono Trigger, or Secret of Mana. Nice work!

aww, thanks so much!

Thanks!!

thanks for the kind words!

Thanks!

thanks so much!!

I don’t normally like electronic soundtracks, but this was really nice to listen to! it really sells the game idea well! nice work!

City in the Clouds is so clean and nice! really feels like an opening track or a calm title screen.

I like how Storm Clouds starts out kinda calm, but tense, and then evolves into something kinda epic sounding! really fitting of this game’s idea!

really nice job!

Very Clean and nice!! I loved the live instruments in the first track, really gives a sense of liveliness to it! the flute throughout is really nice as well! great job on this

I love this a lot! each track is pretty complex without having too much going on! loved the town and shop themes, and the ending is really nice too, having callbacks to the main theme!

thanks so much!

wow, thanks so much for the extremely detailed rating and the kind words! as for some things being lacking in melodic variety, I noticed that a day before the deadline, and didn’t really have time to fix them with stuff in life going on. I will update the ost later with some changes regarding that after the rating period is over!
